Times are tough, affording tuition fees are becoming impossible due to the state of world economy, lockdowns managed to escalate the situation, schools are compelled to offer education online, a means not fully prepared for but have to adjust and adapt quickly to keep education system alive. These changes can only result to more funds needed.
We can already see the impact lockdown/Covid is having on sports, stadium are no longer filled to capacity and it doesn't look like we are close to see full stadiums any time soon, and the consequence of that in soccer clubs for example is eventual loss in revenue.
I suppose it will be safe to say we are living in a new world, a world where I'm certain no one likes the conditions except for the ones that made it to be so. But there's always a solution if we search long enough and here's what the state of Wyoming intends to do to hopefully solve the financial problems of its state university...
In an appropriations bill signed by the governor this month, Wyoming earmarked $4 million for a cryptocurrency staking program to be run by the University of Wyoming, the state’s lone public four-year university.

It wise to see some states in the US are opening up to cryptocurrency usage. Having $4 million set aside for University of Wyoming to generate funds from crypto staking is a sweet move, a move that will have them make good ROI in the right DeFi platform. A possible staking the University might be looking at is Cardano with the blockchain haven established a blockchain lab in the campus in 2020.
As far as I know University of Wyoming is the first to deploy crypto staking to generate funds. Will there be more schools following suit?
It is most likely going to be the case!
