Oh wow, it's been a few days since my last post....It's crazy creating content on the blockchain pretty much every single day for over 6 years to struggle to get 2 posts a week in...
But like I've mentioned countless times before, my new career path has my focus elsewhere. Still I love hanging out, checking out the blockchain and of course, staying as up to date as I can with $LEO
I did something different a few months ago as well...
I started a pretty hefty power down.
This wasn't like the previous power down that I did a few years ago. Back then, it was 100% needed for survival and to put food on my family's table. I'm forever grateful for every sing;e upvote and show of support I've received here over the years because that was an example of how...This blockchain saved my life.
In more ways than one over the years :)
This time though...Was different.
I had gotten hired by my church, and the position I have now pays a decent salary. By no means am I making money hand over fist here, that's not what this position is meant to generate. It's a ministry and it's much needed for the community.
So the power down didn't come from the angle of Jongo needed the fiat to pay to feed his family. This time is was a decision that I would take a chunk of what I've earned over the years here and finally get my family out of the 'basement'.
Basically, we've been without a home of our own for years now since the PayPal fiasco I went through. But now is the opportunity to get my family into our own home because of the new job I have.
Problem is...Jongo needed some funds for a down payment lol
Thankfully, the blockchain provided a huge chunk of what I needed for it and because of that, I was able to get the funds needed.
You hear of this blockchain doing amazing things for people around the world...And it truly does change lives. But I wanted to share this because sometimes us in North America think that it's a pipe dream to live off this chain.
The only way is to be a whale, get daily whale support or be a top witness.
I'm proof that you don't need to rely on on that...You just need to honestly, show up, put some skin in the game and keep showing up....And keep showing up....And keep showing up!
Did it take 30 days or less to get the funds I needed to help my family? Nope, it took over 6 years...Sadly most in crypto don't think long term so most give up before things really start to snow ball.
Let it happen organically and over time, you will see how rewarding and life changing this blockchain can be.
Thanks for listening to this week in the life of Jongo :)
