Today is blue Monday aka the most depressing day of the year. For a lot of people this the year where the New Years resolutions didn't come true. The day where the January weather still sucks and there is no sight of spring already kicking in. And also the day where statistically is is still dark and foggy most of the times.
Everything about all of these assumptions about Blue Monday is totally true here in the Netherlands today. It is grey, boring and nothing is happening. Except for Bitcoin reaching a staggering price of 109.000 US dollars today. Well aint that something to be cheery for?!!!
Coinmarketcap BTC
The price action over the weekend was weird just as it has been weird for the last couple of weeks as it feels. Everything feels edgy and volatile. Or are these just these bigger prices to work with that we are not used to? I'm not entirely sure.
What I know is that today with the inauguration of mister Trump is bringing a lot of movement, just as that the launch of the Trump coin over the weekend on Solana was causing a lot of movement.
Solana went rocket high in no time feeling like there was no way of marching down. I thought of selling some Solana at these high prices to wait until it dumped a bit to buy back lower but I didn't dare...It was moving so fast that I had no idea on when it would stop.
Coinmarketcap SOL
Ofcourse it dropped a decent 10% but this was all too much movement to catch if you are not glued to your screen all day.
No life in other alts
This whole TRUMP token and Solana pump did suck the life out of every alt coin existing though. The whole weekend was just crashing and crashing and crashing prices. With today Bitcoin grinding up again as this whole cycle I have no idea how this will go again.
I guess the bitcoin maxis are having the easiest cycle around. Sit around, hold BTC and do nothing.
While alts?? Yeah, they are having Blue Monday for sure. Loosing hope and having a hard time looking ahead these dark alt-days. But spring will come again for sure, also for alt coins.
