Ahhh don't you love it when all of a sudden something for free appears in your wallet and you had totally forgotten about it even being there? That is exactly what happened here when I opened a wallet and all of sudden there were funds in there.
It all started when I was writing posts about food and other stuff, because it was I do. That means also that most likely you are posting food posts in the food community like foodies bee hive.
There was a post I remember in this community that was going to drop FOOD tokens on the Solana chain. 
So there was an airdrop at a certain point this was worth $24 bucks. How cool is that just for interaction with the community! But it was also dropping in price and maybe it was time to make a move with it. Time to take a look with how this all works on Solana
Working Solana
One of big hitters in the last couple of weeks were the meme coins and especially the ones coming from Solana were on fire. But by the time when they make their way to CEXes, that is when the biggest gains are already made and only the good ones survive.
The key is finding those ones before others do. Which means you need to take a step outside into the DEXes...And the only one I remembered working on at that time was Bitshares, yeahh...you remember that. You have a wallet , the tokens stay yours, but you just swap them on a DEX and they are still in your wallet.
You know..Uniswap is the big one for ethereum and we all hate it. Ethereum is slow and expensive and I get really nervous using it. Solana is cheap in transactions and also a lot faster. And as I said... Booming!
But getting there to use it. Djeezzzzz
It literally took me an hour googling around to find out which DEXes are usuable for Solana and it turns out that Orca, Jupiter, Radium and Birdeye all DEXes where you can interact with Solana tokens. I look around a lot in cryptospace, and I had never really heard from any of these.
I tries swapping the FOOD tokens on my normal wallet but that also wasn't so easy. So I ended up in Birdseye being able to swap them for Solana (that seems the easiest to me if I wanted to get some meme stuff).
On to the memes
What I also learned here in DEX jungle is that you really really really have to be careful if you are working the right token. When you look for a token for instance this WHOREN token which is a meme token for miss Warren, you can see that there are a lot of these things that all seem kind of alike, so looking at the volume is the essential to know if you have the right one.
Until now...it is all not super clear and a bit confusing and most of all, it doesnt all work really comfortable. It lags and swapping and easy and connecting wallets also doesnt always work out.
But hey.. Who knows if my FOOD tokens airdropped end up being the small investment for the mooning meme coin. With airdrops aka free money you can take a try here and there right?
It is a really good practise working more with DEXes I must admit
