First of all, and before I start my story, let me tell you…
I just love lemons.
Without whys or hows.
I am crazy about them. Their scent, their look, their feel and taste.
I even have some favorite lemon trees, and I always go and cut my own lemons when I need them. I rarely buy lemons, ever since I moved to the village I try to find fresh lemons from trees without owner :) I feel that it is a privilege, which I am so lucky to have.
This post will be about .. why it will be good for you to eat lemons!
Lemons have nutritional value, even if you dont believe it. They are rich in vitamin C and this boosts our immune system. They also contain fiber, potassium etc
Their sour taste comes from citric acid and when we eat them, they help us balance our pH levels.
Lemons can enhance almost everything. Salad dressings, sauces, food, even sweets. You can also consume it in water!
(I love beer and lemon and I used to eat spaghetti with lemon!)
Some people consume it first thing in the morning, as it is said to kickstart metabolism. Did you know about this?
Now, let's discuss some life hacks :)
Did you know that consuming lemon is supposed to support skin health and promote weight loss? It can also be applied to sliced fruits (i.e. artichokes) to prevent them from browning.
Lemons can be mixed with water to clean certain surfaces. They can be mixed with white vinegar to fight mold.
If you drop some lemon peels in the garbage bin, you say goodbye to smells
You can also search for some air-refresheners (ie simmering lemon slices with cinnamon) to use at home!

Once plated, I squeeze a few drops of lemon, freshly grind pepper, and sprinkle Parmesan flakes atop to complete my food canvas!
