“Black birds tend to like Shiny things.” ~ The Bloody Raven
I apologize for the lateness of this “Coinstar” Report but I will condense the last four months of Coin finds from my local Coinstar, Compass Fare machines, and Pepsi (I’m not getting any advertising $$$ from this beverage company) Drink Machine.
I started this little project back late November 2018 so the grand final totals will be reflective for 13 months rather than 12.

The original objective was to find silver coin from the local Coinstar machines where I do my routine shopping. I drew inspiration from an American friend on another social platform who had found silver coins in her local Coinstar machines as customers often neglect checking the Rejected Coin tray. And this year a few of our members have been successful, right ?
In the beginning I was getting tangible measurable results from Coinstar followed by a dry spell from the remainder of the year until the 2 Euro cent and a few US coin popped up in October.
Though I never found any silver coin, I got a modest reward for my efforts from Coinstar, Compass, and the Pepsi machine I often pass in my commute.

A significant change lately is the Electronic Point-of-sale Card reader installed on this heavily used Train Station Soda/drink machines that have yielded plenty coins in the past but, no more since this upgrade took place.
We are ever marching forward to our cashless society. I may just have a chance if the firmware goes awry for some reason.
