LeoFinance doesn't "sell ads", they simply have ads as any other website that uses Google ads does. The new advertising revenue share mechanics work like this... The more LEO tokens you have staked, the more you earn. It's estimated to be about 4-10% APR on your LEO Power.

There is profit. A lot of it. In ad revenue alone with its small user base, leofinance is pulling in around $4000/month in ad revenue. Some of that is going to start being paid out in LEO tokens to LEO stakers.
