SPK Network LARYNX Claim + Trading Live!

Time to Claim and Trade

To be clear - this does not mean that the SPK Network is ready to use. It is very much not at all ready to use. This is just the launch of the LARYNX tokens and the ability to claim them. Claiming your tokens is very easy and can be done with Hive Keychain. Keep in mind though that this is very new and can very easily break. Don't expect your transactions to be instant and don't expect everything to work right out of the gate. Right now, you can head over the SPK Claim Site and sign in with your Hive Keychain wallet. Once signed in, you'll see your estimated amount of LARYNX that can be claimed once per month.

Looks like I'm going to be getting 622 LARYNX tokens per month. They currently only serve one purpose. You can lock them for governance only if you run a SPK claim node. Aside from that, they can be HODL'd or traded. So if you want to go ahead and claim your tokens, you can click the little colorful button that looks like a present. You'll be asked to sign the transaction with Hive Keychain, and after about 5 minutes you should see your token balance. I say 5 minutes because during the live demo, which I'm still listening to right now... I was able to see my balance after 1 minute but with the amount of people claiming, it seems slowed down. Some people are seeing 5 minute wait times to see their tokens. Once your tokens are available, you can click the DEX button and start trading.

Again - the DEX is very basic and it's in its infancy. Currently you can trade LARYNX with HIVE and HBD. There's market orders and limit orders. Be careful here though. You could easily fuck up (like I did) and sell your tokens very cheap if you aren't paying attention. For the limit order, you want to enter the amount of LARYNX tokens to buy or sell. Then enter the TOTAL HIVE AMOUNT you wan to receive for those tokens. Not the price in HIVE. I'm a dumbass lol. You live and learn. With new shit like this, it's very easy to make mistakes. I would avoid the market buy/sell right now. There's just simply not enough volume and you'll get REKT hard if you do it. These tokens are not one Hive-Engine. I don't know that they will be, I'm entirely sure how this is all actually working as I'm not a developer... But there you have it. Claim your LARYNX and HODL or trade them. Eventually (I think) these LARYNX tokens will be able to mine SPK tokens for governance. Also - if you click your profile picture on the page, you can see what might be a glimpse into the interface of SPK.
