After the whole year of 2022 saving small daily amounts and depositing them in HBD in my Savings Wallet, I was able to complete the challenge and get the proposed 667.95 HBD, plus another more than 40 HBD earned only from the interest generated by depositing in this wallet. 20% annual return sounds like a good number if we want to save this money for later generating additional profits 😃.
Después de todo el año 2022 ahorrando pequeños montos diarios y depositándolos en HBD en mis Savings Wallet, pude completar el desafío y obtener los 667.95 HBD propuestos, más otros más de 40 HBD ganados solo por los intereses que genera depositar en esta billetera. 20% de retorno anual suena como un buen número si deseamos dejar este dinero guardado para más adelante generando ganancias adicionales 😃.
When I had joined the Savings Club, I didn't know exactly what I wanted to use the money for, but I knew it would be good to invest in a great trip. I like to travel around my country, and there are some destinations more expensive than others, so having a good saving was necessary to go to some of them. Finally, part of what I saved during the year was transformed into a great trip to the province of Santa Cruz in southern Argentina, where I got to know the town of El Chaltén and the Perito Moreno Glacier. Luckily, it was not necessary to use all my savings: I only invested 400 HBD in this trip, and what I had left I saved for this year 😃.
Cuando me había unido al Club de Ahorro, no sabía exactamente para qué quería usar el dinero, pero sabía que sería bueno invertirlo en un viaje genial. Me gusta viajar por mi país, y hay algunos destinos más caros que otros, por lo que tener un buen ahorro era necesario para ir a algunos de ellos. Finalmente, parte de lo ahorrado durante el año se transformó en viaje genial a la provincia de Santa Cruz en el sur de Argentina, en donde pude conocer el pueblo de El Chaltén y el Glaciar Perito Moreno. Por suerte, no fue necesario usar todos mis ahorros: solo invertí 400 HBD en este viaje, y lo que me sobró me quedó ahorrado para este año 😃.
If this is the first time you're seeing this, here's a little explanation of how the club works. We start the first day by saving 0.01 of the currency you want: it can be Hive, HBD, your local currency or whatever you want (I prefer to do it in HBD so that price stability is maintained throughout the year). Then, it follows with 0.02 on the second day, 0.03 on the third day, and so on. By the end of the year, the cumulative amount will be HBD 657.95. To facilitate this, all these amounts have been compiled in the following tables in order to deposit everything of the week Saturday after Saturday. What do you think of this method? 😃
Si esta es la primera vez que estas viendo esto, aquí va una pequeña explicación de como funciona el club. Empezamos el primer día ahorrando 0,01 de la moneda que quieras: puede ser Hive, HBD, tu moneda local o lo que quieras (yo prefiero hacerlo en HBD para que la estabilidad de precio se mantenga durante año). Luego, sigue con 0,02 el segundo día, 0,03 el tercer día y así sucesivamente. Para fin de año, el monto acumulado será de 657,95 HBD. Para facilitar esto, se han recopilado todos estos montos en las siguientes tablas con el fin de depositar sábado tras sábado todo lo de la semana. ¿Qué te parece este método? 😃
The last few weeks of last year had gotten a bit tough as they included saving more than HBD 20 per week, so starting the whole saving round again by depositing amounts less than HBD 8 looks super easy. That is why, despite the fact that we have just finished the first quarter of the year, I already had these amounts deposited several days ago. Luckily these past few days my earnings have been pretty decent, so I decided to think about my future self and save a little faster than the stipulated days at the club. After all, the goal is to reach the end. As of today, I have my savings deposited until April 29 inclusive, and about 405,127 HBD in my Savings Wallet. In January I had started with 313,157 HBD, so from then until now I had 91.97 HBD between the deposit and interest earnings. Nothing bad 😃.
Las últimas semanas de año pasado se habían vuelto un poco duras ya que incluían ahorrar más de 20 HBD por semana, por lo que volver a empezar toda la ronda de ahorro depositando montos menores a 8 HBD se ve super fácil. Es por eso que a pesar de que recién ahora hemos terminado el primer cuarto del año, yo ya tenía estos montos depositados hace varios días. Afortunadamente, estos últimos días mis ganancias han sido bastante decentes, por lo que decidí pensar en mi yo del futuro y ahorrar un poco más rápido que los días estipulados en el club. Después de todo, la meta es llegar al final. Para el día de hoy, tengo mis ahorros depositados hasta el 29 de Abril inclusive, y unos 405.127 HBD en mi Billetera Savings. En Enero había empezado con 313.157 HBD, por lo que desde entonces hasta ahora tuve 91.97 HBD entre lo depositado y ganancias por intereses. Nada mal 😃.
Based on my own experience, I have to say that joining this savers club has been very effective. Saving a little today to be able to enjoy a lot tomorrow doesn't seem like such a sacrifice and the reward is high, so I think I'll keep doing it every year. Once again, I don't know what I'll spend this year's savings on, but I think I could take another beautiful trip to the south of my country next summer. You never get tired of seeing those beautiful landscapes, and if you leave with some savings to do great things, even better 😃.
En base a mi propia experiencia, debo decir que unirme a este club de ahorradores ha sido muy efectivo. Ahorrar un poquito hoy, para poder disfrutar bastante mañana no me parece tan sacrificado y la recompensa es alta, por lo que creo que seguiré haciendolo todos los años. Otra vez desconozco en qué gastaré el ahorro de este año, pero pienso que podría hacer otro viaje hermoso al sur de mi país en el verano siguiente. Uno no se cansa de ver esos paisajes hermosos, y si se va con algunos ahorros para hacer cosas geniales, aún mejor 😃.
