It's amazing to think that we are already more than halfway through this year 2023: time is really flying by and I hope these last few months have been great for you. Perhaps it is a little early to survey how the proposed goals are going at the beginning of the year, but checking how everything is going from time to time is not bad either. One of the things that I decided to do this year was to repeat the annual savings that I made last year, and luckily everything has been going smoothly so far, although from my own experience I must say that the most difficult months are approaching 😶.
Es increíble pensar que ya estamos a más de la mitad de este año 2023: el tiempo está volando realmente y espero que estos últimos meses hayan sido geniales para ustedes. Quizás es un poco pronto para hacer un relevamiento de cómo van las metas propuestas a principio de año, pero chequear como va todo de vez en cuando tampoco está mal. Una de las cosas que me propuse hacer este año fue repetir el ahorro anual que hice el año pasado, y por suerte hasta el momento viene todo tranquilo, aunque por la experiencia propia debo decir que los meses más difíciles se están acercando 😶.
After successfully completing my savings last year and managing to collect more than 650 HBD in my Savings Wallet, I rewarded myself with a beautiful trip to the south of my country Argentina. Going to see the Perito Moreno Glacier in the province of Santa Cruz was one of the trips that I had on my list of places to go no matter what, and thanks to Hive I was able to achieve it. As the reward was very great for me, this year I did not hesitate to repeat the experience and so far everything is going quite well ❣️.
Después de haber concluído satisfactoriamente mi ahorro del año pasado y lograr reunir más de 650 HBD en mi Billetera Savings, me premié a mí misma con un viaje hermoso al sur de mi país Argentina. Ir a conocer el Glaciar Perito Moreno en la provincia de Santa Cruz era uno de los viajes que tenía en mi lista de lugares a ir sin importar qué, y gracias a Hive lo pude lograr. Como la recompensa fue muy grande para mí, este año no dudé en repetir la experiencia y hasta el momento todo está yendo bastante bien ❣️.
For that one week trip I only used 400 HBD, so this year I started my savings with something of 300 HBD as a base. If all goes well, by the end of the year I should have over 900 HBD in my Savings Wallet, earning interest at a rate of 20% per year. What I like about making this savings in HBD is that it gives me a lot of security of having a stable amount, so this last time I have been dedicating almost all the HBD of my publications to savings, while I had to resort to some Power Down to keep up with my daily finances. For a long time I was letting my account grow until today I have 8000 HP, so I think I deserve to enjoy a little bit of that without guilt 😃.
Para ese viaje de una semana solo usé 400 HBD, por lo que este año empecé mi ahorro con algo de 300 HBD como base. Si todo sale bien, para fin de año debería tener más de 900 HBD en mi Billetera Savings, generando intereses con una tasa del 20% anual. Lo que me gusta de hacer este ahorro en HBD es que me genera bastante seguridad de tener un monto estable, por lo que este último tiempo estuve destinando casi todo el HBD de mis publicaciones al ahorro, mientras que tuve que recurrir a algunos Power Down para mantenerme en pie con mis finanzas diarias. Durante mucho tiempo estuve dejando crecer mi cuenta hasta llegar al día de hoy que tengo 8000 HP, por lo que creo que también me merezco disfrutar un poco de eso sin culpas 😃.
I think all of us who go through Hive on a daily basis have noticed that prices have been fairly quiet for several months, and that post votes have dropped a bit, but I still believe that everything is temporary and that at some point the times of abundance will return. Meanwhile, in our savings challenge we reached these months in which we have to save more than 10 HBD weekly, which in devalued economies like the one we have in Argentina is a lot of money (believe me saving almost 5000 ARS per week is difficult) , but I still think that in the end it is worth the sacrifice to be able to see all that savings together 🙂.
Creo que todos los que diariamente pasamos por Hive notamos que los precios estan bastante quietos hace varios meses, y que los votos de las publicaciones se han reducido un poco, pero sigo creyendo que todo es temporal y que en algún momento volverán los tiempos de abundancia. Mientras tanto, en nuestro desafío de ahorro llegamos a estos meses en los que semanalmente tenemos que ahorrar más de 10 HBD, los cuales en economías devaluadas como la que tenemos en Argentina es bastante dinero (creanme que ahorrar casi 5000 ARS por semana es difícil), pero sigo pensando que al final vale la pena el sacrificio para poder ver todo ese ahorro junto 🙂.

In short, what we do is save $0.01 from January 1st and increase the amount by one cent per day until the end of the year, making weekly deposits on Saturdays. With this method, at the end of the year the savings will be equal to $677.95, added to the interest earnings offered by the Savings Wallet. Well, I was making my deposits as soon as I had the necessary amount and I managed to anticipate about three weeks, so now I have saved HBD 562,985 and I receive an average of HBD 8 per month in interest. It looks pretty good, what do you think? 😃
Y si llegaste a leer hasta acá y no tenés idea de lo que estoy hablando, podés revisar esta publicación sobre el Club de Ahorradores de Los Sábados, en donde encontrarás información sobre el ahorro anual. En pocas palabras, lo que hacemos es ahorrar desde el 1ero de Enero $0,01 e ir aumentando el monto de a un céntimo por día hasta llegar al final del año, haciendo depósitos semanales los sábados. Con este método, al final del año lo ahorrado será igual a $677,95, sumado a las ganancias por intereses que ofrece la Billetera Savings. Bueno, yo estuve haciendo mis depósitos ni bien reunía el monto necesario y logré adelantarme unas tres semanas, por lo que ahora tengo ahorrados 562,985 HBD y recibo un promedio de 8 HBD mensuales de intereses. Se ve bastante bien, ¿qué opinan 😃?
I'm quite excited because it will not be long until I reach the 600 HBD mark and we have not even reached the third quarter of the year, but I'm also nervous because I know that in the end the amounts to deposit are getting higher and closer to 20 HBD. Anyway, I'm sure that once again I will be able to complete the challenge successfully, because just like last year, my goal is to use these savings for a beautiful trip. This trip that I have in mind is also going to be in a new province, so once again it will be one less on my list of knowing the 23 provinces of Argentina: what greater motivation than to go one step further in fulfilling my travel goal 💖?
Estoy bastante entusiasmada porque falta poco para que alcance los 600 HBD y ni siquiera llegamos al tercer cuarto del año, pero también estoy nerviosa porque sé que al final los montos a depositar son cada vez más altos y cercanos a 20 HBD. Sea como sea, estoy segura de que una vez más voy a poder concluir el desafío con éxito, porque al igual que el año pasado, mi objetivo es usar este ahorro para un viaje hermoso. Este paseo que tengo en mente también va a ser en una provincia nueva, por lo que otra vez será una menos en mi lista de conocer las 23 provincias de Argentina: ¿qué motivación más grande que dar un paso más en cumplir mi meta viajera ❤️?
