My Rebellion Buying Strategy + Cost per Pack Calculations + 30 Rebellion Packs Bought and Opened
Seventeen days have passed from the start of the general sale of the new Rebellion set (Dec. 5, 2023) and so far 560953 Rebellion packs have been sold from a total of packs whose initial supply (Presale + General Sale) was 10 million packs.
With the start of the general sale, a burning mechanism has been activated that will eliminate 90% of the unsold portion of a 25K pack quantity every day.
I like this burn mechanism because it will produce a gradual decrease in total pack supply and consequently support the future value of the Rebellion set packs and cards, which should probably be able to maintain a much higher value than the Chaos Legion edition packs and cards.
After 17 days since the start of the general sale 330956 packs have been burned, which corresponds to 3.3% of the total initial supply.
In my opinion, it is also interesting to note that after 17 days since the start of the general sale:
- the market value of Rebellion packs on Hive Engine has increased: 3.59$ -> 4.01$
- the estimated value of Rebellion packs has increased: 3.83$ -> 4.16$
However, the release of the Rebellion set has produced negative effects on my game results because for the first time after so many seasons played in the Modern Format's Gold+ leagues, in the current season, when there are about 8 days left until the end of the season, I am in the Silver I league with a rating = 1628.
It has been a really long time since I have been down in the Silver leagues!
My current game goal is to return to the Gold+ leagues as soon as possible but to achieve this goal I need to increase the battle strength of my card collection because using only my Chaos Legion cards in battle is no longer enough.
For this reason, I have started building a deck of cards from the Rebellion set that I hope will soon be able to help me return to playing stably in Modern Format's Gold+ leagues.
To date I have based my buying strategy for the Rebellion set on buying Rebellion packs from Hive Engine:
- as long as the estimated value of a Rebellion pack is greater than the purchase price I will prefer to buy packs instead of cards from the market.
- I will open all packs I purchase and sell all Gold cards and all cards I would rarely use in game battles.
Based on my strategy today, I purchased another 30 Rebellion packs and for the purchase I used the DEC tokens that I earned from selling the Rebellion cards that I had found in the packs I opened earlier and considered not very useful in battle.
To choose the best purchase option to buy the Rebellion packs I calculated the dollar cost of 1 Rebellion pack based on the different purchase options that could be chosen today December 22, 2023 and based on the market values of the tokens that could be used to buy the packs.
Now I will show you all the options to purchase 1 Rebellion pack and the calculation of the cost in dollars.
To purchase a Rebellion pack from the Splinterlands site it is always best to use 5000 DEC + 5 VOUCHER as the purchase method because the cost per pack is = 4.1504$
It is also possible to purchase 1 Rebellion pack from the internal Market in Splinterlands (Other Items section) and the cost per pack is = 3.99$
Purchasing a Rebellion pack from Hive Engine/TribalDex/BeeSwap has a cost = 11.18499 SWAP.HIVE = $4.01
Again today, as in all my previous posts in which I calculated the cost of 1 Rebellion pack, it turned out buying from Hive Engine was the cheapest option to buy 1 Rebellion pack: $4.01 per pack.
The only alternative to purchase a Rebellion pack at a cost of less than $4.01 is to purchase 100 or 500 or 2000 packs in a single transaction from the Shop section of Splinterlands and in this case the cost per pack is:
- = 3.96$ per pack (purchase of 100+ packs)
- = 3.78$ per pack (purchase of 500+ packs)
- = 3.63$ per pack (purchase of 2000+ packs)
If I had the liquidity to purchase 100 packs I would have done so from the Splinterlands Shop but today I had enough DEC to purchase 30 Rebellion packs so I made the purchase from Hive Engine.
To purchase 30 Rebellion packs I converted DEC tokens to SWAP.HIVE and spent 11.18 SWAP.HIVE per pack for a total expenditure of 335.54 SWAP.HIVE.
In the following images you can see all the cards I found inside the 30 packs I opened.

I was hoping to find some legendary cards but I wasn't lucky.
However, I am glad to have found an Gold version epic card: Satha Toledo.
I spent 335.54 SWAP.HIVE = $120 and in the chests I found 150 cards that have an estimated total value = $110,563 based on the calculations of the Analyze Packs section of Peakmonsters.
This time I was not very lucky in opening packs because I recorded a loss of about -10$ but in my previous pack openings I was luckier.
I immediately put Satha Toledo up for sale along with the other Gold cards I found and along with the other Rebellion cards that are not among my short-term purchase goals.
If I can sell all these cards I will reinvest my profit to buy more Rebellion packs hoping to have better luck than today.
So far I have purchased and opened 190 Rebellion Packs but I only have 21 Rebellion cards above the first level.
Although my Rebellion cards have a suboptimal level for the Gold leagues I would like to return to as soon as possible I have started using some of my Rebellion cards in battle and in some battles they have been very useful.
For example in one of my recent battles I used the Rebellion card combination: Avina of The Wolf + Ulundin Oveeseer + Bera Dallin.
I really appreciated Nalara Geinek's Silence ability in a battle with the Wands Out ruleset.
I also tried in battle Daarg Deadblast which is one of the legendary cards in the Rebellion set that I would like to upgrade to the second level in the short term.
In fact, when Daarg Deadblast reaches level 2 he also acquires the Triage skill and becomes much more useful in battle!
I continue to set growth goals on Splinterlands, hope that bots will be eliminated completely from Splinterlands, continue to increase the battle strength of my usable card collection in Modern Format where there are no bots, and look forward with much excitement to the fully playable versions of Genesis League Soccer and Soulkeep that will expand the Splinterlands ecosystem

La mia strategia di acquisto per il set Rebellion + Calcolo del Costo per Pacco + 30 Rebellion Packs Acquistati e Aperti
Sono trascorsi 17 giorni dall'inizio dell'inizio della general sale del nuovo set Rebellion (5 dicembre 2023) e fino ad oggi sono stati venduti 560953 Rebellion packs su un totale di pacchi la cui supply iniziale (Presale + General Sale) era di 10 milioni di pacchi.
Con l'inizio della general sale è stato attivato un meccanismo di bruciatura che eliminerà ogni giorno il 90% della parte non venduta di un quantitativo di 25K pacchi.
Mi piace questo meccanismo di bruciatura perchè produrrà una progressiva diminuzione della supply totale dei pacchi e di conseguenza supporterà il valore futuro dei pacchi e delle carte del set Rebellion che dovrebbero riusciere a mantenere un valore molto più alto dei pacchi e delle carte dell'edizione Chaos Legion.
Dopo 17 giorni dall'inizio della general sale sono stati bruciati 330956 pacchi che corrispondono al 3.3% della supply totale iniziale.
Secondo me è anche interessante notare che dopo 17 giorni dall'inizio della general sale:
- è aumentato il valore di mercato dei Rebellion packs su Hive Engine: 3.59$ -> 4.01$
- è aumentato il valore stimato dei Rebellion packs: 3.83$ -> 4.16$
Il rilascio del set Rebellion ha prodotto degli effetti negativi sui miei risultati di gioco perchè per la prima volta dopo tante stagioni giocate nelle leghe Gold+ del Modern Format, nella stagione in corso, quando mancano circa 8 giorni alla fine della stagione, sono nella lega Silver I con un punteggio di rating = 1628.
Era davvero tanto tempo che non scendevo nelle leghe Silver!
Il mio obiettivo di gioco attuale è di ritornare il prima possibile nelle leghe Gold+ ma per raggiungere questo obiettivo devo aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte perchè utilizzare in battaglia solo le mie carte Chaos Legion non è più sufficiente.
Per questo motivo ho iniziato a costruirmi un deck di carte del set Rebellion che spero potrà aiutarmi presto a ritornare a giocare stabilmente nelle leghe Gold+ del Modern Format.
Fino ad oggi ho basato la mia strategia di acquisto per il set Rebellion sull'acquisto dei pacchi Rebellion da Hive Engine:
- fin quando il valore stimato di un pacco Rebellion sarà maggiore del prezzo di acquisto preferirò acquistare i pacchi invece delle carte dal mercato.
- aprirò tutti i pacchi che acquisterò e venderò tutte le carte Gold e tutte le carte che utilizzerei raramente nelle battaglie di gioco.
In base alla mia strategia oggi ho acquistato altri 30 pacchi Rebellion e per l'acquisto ho utilizzato i token DEC che ho guadagnato dalla vendita delle carte Rebellion che avevo trovato nei pacchi che ho aperto in precedenza e che ho considerato non molto utili in battaglia.
Per scegliere l'opzione di acquisto migliore per comprare i pacchi Rebellion ho calcolato il costo in dollari di 1 pacco Rebellion in base alle diverse opzioni di acquisto sceglibili oggi 22 dicembre 2023 e in base ai valori di mercato dei tokens utilizzabili per acquistare i pacchi.
Per acquistare un pacco Rebellion dal sito di Splinterlands conviene sempre utilizzare 5000 DEC + 5 VOUCHER come metodo di acquisto perchè il costo per pacco è = 4.1504$
E' possibile acquistare 1 pacco Rebellion anche dal Market interno di Splinterlands (sezione Other Items) e il costo per pacco è = 3.99$
Acquistare un pacco Rebellion da Hive Engine/TribalDex/BeeSwap ha un costo = 11.18499 SWAP.HIVE = 4.01$
Anche oggi, come in tutti i miei precedenti posts in cui ho calcolato il costo di 1 pacco Rebellion, è risultato l'acquisto da Hive Engine l'opzione di acquisto più conveniente per comprare 1 Rebellion pack: 4.01$ per pack.
L'unica alaternativa per acquistare un pacco Rebellion ad un costo inferiore a 4.01$ è acquistare 100 o 500 o 2000 pacchi in un'unica transazione dalla sezione Shop di Splinterlands e in questo caso il costo per pacco è:
- = 3.96$ per pacco (acquisto di 100+ pacchi)
- = 3.78$ per pacco (acquisto di 500+ pacchi)
- = 3.63$ per pacco (acquisto di 2000+ pacchi)
Se avessi avuto la liquidità per acquistare 100 pacchi lo avrei fatto dallo Shop di Splinterlands ma oggi avevo un quantitativo di DEC sufficiente ad acquistare 30 Rebellion packs e per questo motivo ho effettuato l'acquisto da Hive Engine.
Per acquistare 30 Rebellion packs ho speso 11.18 SWAP.HIVE per pack per una spesa totale di 335.54 SWAP.HIVE.
Nelle immagini seguenti puoi vedere tutte le carte che ho trovato all'interno dei 30 pacchi che ho aperto.

Speravo di trovare qualche carta leggendaria ma non sono stato fortunato.
Sono comunque contento di aver trovato una carta epica in versione Gold: Satha Toledo.
Ho speso 335.54 SWAP.HIVE = 120$ e nei forzieri ho trovato 150 carte che hanno un valore totale stimato = 110.563$ in base ai calcoli della sezione Analyze Packs di Peakmonsters.
Questa volta non sono stato molto fortunato nell'apertura dei pacchi perchè ho registrato una perdita di circa -10$ ma nelle mie precedenti aperture di pacchi sono stato più fortunato.
Ho messo immediatamente in vendita Satha Toledo insieme alle alle altre carte Gold che ho trovato e insieme alle altre carte Rebellion che non sono tra i miei obiettivi di acquisto di breve termine.
Se riuscirò a vendere tutte queste carte reinvestirò il mio guadagno per acquistare altri pacchi Rebellion sperando di avere più fortuna rispetto ad oggi.
Fino ad oggi ho acquistato e aperto 190 Rebellion Packs ma ho solo 21 Rebellion cards di livello superiore al primo.
Anche se le mie carte Rebellion hanno un livello non ottimale per le leghe Gold in cui vorrei tornare al più presto a giocare ho iniziato ad usare qualche mia carta Rebellion in battaglia e in alcune battaglie mi sono state molto utili.
Ad esempio in una mia recente battaglia ho usato la combinazione di carte Rebellion: Avina of The Wolf + Ulundin Oveeseer + Bera Dallin.
Ho molto apprezzato l'abilità Silence di Nalara Geinek in una battaglia con la ruleset Wands Out.
Ho provato in battaglia anche Daarg Deadblast che è una delle carte leggendarie del set Rebellion che vorrei portare al secondo livello nel breve termine.
Io continuo a pormi obiettivi di crescita su Splinterlands, spero che i bots siano eliminati completamente da Splinterlands, continuo ad aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte utilizzabile nel Modern Format dove non ci sono i bots e aspetto con molta eccitazione le versioni completamente giocabili di Genesis League Soccer e Soulkeep che espanderanno l'ecosistema di Splinterlands
