Rebellion Presale - 5 Day After: Cost per Pack Evaluation and Update + My first 10 Rebellion Packs Purchased!
The Rebellion Presale started on October 18, 2023 at 2:00 PM ET/18:00 UTC and will end in just over 25 days or before the end of the presale if all 500K Rebellion packs available for purchase during the presale are sold.
Most of the Rebellion packs were sold on the first day of the presale.
In almost 5 days since the presale began, more than 271K Rebellion packs have been distributed:
- Total Packs: 500000 (500K)
- Packs sold + bonus packs distributed: 271163 (271.1 K)
- Packs for sale: 228837 (228.8K)
In my previous post I calculated the cost per Rebellion pack based on the purchase method chosen from the three available and also calculated the cost per pack and the total cost to be incurred to obtain some benefits during the presale.

Today I recalculated the cost of 1 Rebellion pack based on the different possible purchase options and also added the evaluation of a fourth purchase option from my previous post.
I have been playing steadily in Modern Format's Gold+ leagues for several seasons now, and my goal is to continue to be competitive in Modern Format's Gold+ leagues even when cards from the Rebellion set can be used in the game (December 5, 2023).
To achieve this goal I need to purchase Rebellion packs but more importantly I will need to purchase the Rebellion cards that I will evaluate as most useful in battle.
Compared to three days ago, the cost per pack of the Rebellion set using the best purchase method (4000 DEC + 5 VOUCHER) in the Splinterlands Shop has decreased albeit slightly: $3.9107 -> $3.8552
For those who want to buy 1 Rebellion pack there is also a third option: buy 1 REBELLION token on Hive Engine or TribalDex.
In this case, the purchase cost is lower but packs purchased this way will not be considered for presale airdrop and thus will not have a chance to receive the Promo Cards Grimbardun Smith Neutral Rare and Mantaroth Neutral Legendary
Based on the market value (Lowest Ask) of 1 Rebellion Pack on Hive Engine the dollar cost is $3.04
Today I evaluated this cost difference as a buying opportunity compared to buying from the Splinterlands Shop because the cost difference is a savings of $0.8152 per pack compared to buying using 4000 DEC + 5 VOUCHERS.
If today October 23, 2023 I purchase 10 Rebellion Packs from Splinterlands Shop I spend a total of 38.55$ and am guaranteed to receive 1 Grimbardun Smith Neutral Rare card guaranteed (chance Gold Foil per card: 4%)
If I purchase 10 Rebellion Packs (=10 REBELLION tokens) from Hive Engine today, October 23, 2023, I spend a total of $30.40 but will not receive 1 BCX of Grimbardun Smith Neutral Rare card.
The questions I asked myself today are:
- Will the Grimbardun Smith Neutral Rare promo card have a value per BCX of more than $8.15 when it goes to market?
- Will the Mantaroth Neutral Legendary promo card have a value per BCX greater than $81.50 when it is placed on the market?
In my opinion, not unless there is a large increase in active players.
Therefore, today I decided to purchase 10 REBELLION tokens from Hive Engine.
I spent 95 SWAP.HIVE = $30.4 to purchase 10 REBELLION packs.
I will use the savings of $8.15 I got today compared to buying from the Splinterlands shop to buy Rebellion promo cards from the market starting December 5, 2023 when the general sale starts.
Important Note: Obviously my purchasing strategies are the result of my personal evaluations and are not financial advice.
My choice today to buy Rebellion packs from Hive Engine versus buying from the Splinterlands Shop will only be a right choice if the market value of 1 BCX of the rare promo card is less than $8.15 and only if the market value of 1 BCX of the legendary promo card is less than $81.5.
In my previous post, I shared my purchasing strategy related Rebellion set:
- purchase at least 20 Rebellion packs during the presale.
- Accumulate a larger amount of DEC tokens through:
- selling my Beta and Untamed cards that have a low Production Points attribute and that I will not be able to use in Modern Format starting December 5 when the general sale begins
- Converting some of my rewards from my Splinterlands posts to DEC.
- Enter quite heavily during the first phase of the general sale by taking opportunities to purchase Rebellion packs from the market and buying Rebellion cards that I will consider useful in battle based on the summoners and Chaos Legion and Riftwachers cards I have in my collection.
Today I completed 50% of my goal of purchasing Rebellion packs during Presale.
I will continue to monitor the market to consider other purchases.
During Presale Rebellion, more than buying Rebellion card packs my focus is on Chaos Legion cards because I will try to further upgrade my Chaos Legion cards and Riftwatchers to find myself less uncomfortable when I can no longer use in Modern Format my favorite Untamed cards such as Byzantine Kitty who is by far my favorite summoner and is also the summoner I use the most in game battles.
I like the mechanism of rationing cards of older editions that is present in Modern Format but I also think that the usefulness of this mechanism is drastically reduced by the presence of bots in Wild Format and I explained the reasons why in a previous post of mine that you can find at the next link.

Splinterlands is my favorite blockchain game because I like to play it and I like to increase the battle strength of my card collection and also because it allows me to choose from different play and investment strategies.
I continue to set growth goals on Splinterlands, hope that bots will be eliminated completely from Splinterlands, continue to increase the battle strength of my usable card collection in the Modern Format where there are no bots, and look forward with much excitement to the start of the general sale of the Rebellion set, phase 1.5 of lands, and the fully playable versions of Genesis League Soccer and Soulkeep that will expand the Splinterlands ecosystem

La Rebellion Presale è iniziata il 18 ottobre 2023 alle ore 2:00 PM ET/18:00 UTC e terminerà fra poco più di 25 giorni oppure prima della fine della presale se tutti i 500K pacchi Rebellion disponibili all'acquisto durante la presale saranno venduti.
La maggior parte dei pacchi Rebellion sono stati venduti il primo giorno della presale.
In quasi 5 giorni dall'inizio della presale sono stati distribuiti più di 271K pacchi Rebellion:

Da diverse stagioni gioco stabilmente nelle leghe Gold+ del Modern Format e il mio obiettivo è di continuare ad essere competitivo nelle leghe Gold+ del Modern Format anche quando le carte del set Rebellion potranno essere utilizzate nel gioco (5 dicembre 2023).
Per raggiungere questo obiettivo devo acquistare pacchi Rebellion ma soprattutto dovrò acquistare le carte Rebellion che valuterà più utili in battaglia.
Oggi ho ricalcolato il costo di 1 pacco Rebellion in base alle diverse opzioni di acquisto possibili.
Rispetto a tre giorni fa il costo per pacco del set Rebellion utilizzando il miglior metodo di acquisto (4000 DEC + 5 VOUCHER) nello Shop di Splinterlands è diminuito anche se di poco: 3.9107$ -> 3.8552$
Per chi vuole acquistare 1 pacco Rebellion c'è anche una terza opzione: acquistare 1 token REBELLION su Hive Engine o TribalDex.
In questo caso il costo di acquisto è più basso ma i pacchi acquistati in questo modo non saranno considerati per l'airdrop della presale e quindi non avranno possibilità di ricevere le Promo Cards Grimbardun Smith Neutral Rare e Mantaroth Neutral Legendary
In base al valore di mercato (Lowest Ask) di 1 Rebellion Pack su Hive Engine il costo in dollari è di 3.04$
Oggi ho valutato questa differenza di costo come un occasione di acquisto rispetto all'acquisto dallo Shop di Splinterlands perchè la differenza di costo è un risparmio di 0.8152$ per pacco rispetto all'acquisto utilizzando 4000 DEC + 5 VOUCHER.
Se oggi 23 ottobre 2023 acquisto 10 Rebellion Pack dallo Shop di Splinterlands spendo in totale 38.55$ e ho la garanzia di ricevere 1 Grimbardun Smith Neutral Rare card garantito (chance Gold Foil per card: 4%)
Se oggi 23 ottobre 2023 acquisto 10 Rebellion Pack (=10 REBELLION tokens) da Hive Engine spendo in totale 30.40$ ma non riceverò 1 BCX di Grimbardun Smith Neutral Rare card.
La domande che mi sono posto oggi sono:
- La carta promo Grimbardun Smith Neutral Rare card avrà un valore per BCX superiore a 8.15$ quando sarà immessa sul mercato?
- La carta promo Mantaroth Neutral Legendary avrà un valore per BCX superiore a 81.50$ quando sarà immessa sul mercato?
Secondo me no a meno che non ci sia un forte aumento dei giocatori attivi.
Per questo motivo oggi ho deciso di acquistare 10 REBELLION tokens da Hive Engine.
Ho speso 95 SWAP.HIVE = 30.4$ per acquistare 10 REBELLION packs.
Utilizzerò il risparmio di 8.15$ che ho ottenuto oggi rispetto all'acquisto dallo shop di Splinterlands per acquistare le carte promo Rebellion dal mercato a partire dal 5 dicembre 2023 quando inizierà la general sale.
Nota Importante: Ovviamente le mie strategie di acquisto sono frutto delle mie valutazioni personali e non sono consigli finanziari.
La mia scelta di oggi di acquistare i pacchi Rebellion da Hive Engine rispetto all'acquisto dallo Shop di Splinterlands sarà una scelta giusta solo se il valore di mercato di 1 BCX della carta promo rara sarà inferiore a 8.15$ e solo se il valore di mercato di 1 BCX della carta promo leggendaria sarà inferiore a 81.5$.
Nel mio precedente post ho condiviso la mia strategia di acquisto relativa set Rebellion:
acquistare almeno 20 pacchi Rebellion durante la presale.
accumulare un quantitativo maggiore di token DEC tramite:
- la vendita delle mie carte Beta e Untamed che hanno un attributo Production Points basso e che non potrò utilizzare nel Modern Format a partire dal 5 dicembre quando inizierà la general sale
- la conversione di parte delle mie ricompense dei miei post su Splinterlands in DEC
- Entrare abbastanza pesantemente durante la prima fase della general sale cogliendo occasioni di acquisto di pacchi Rebellion dal mercato e acquistando le carte Rebellion che considererò utili in battaglia in base agli evocatori e alle carte Chaos Legion e Riftwachers che ho nella mia collezione.
Oggi ho completato il 50% del mio obiettivo di acquisto dei pacchi Rebellion durante la Presale.
Continuerò a monitorare il mercato per valutare altri acquisti.
Durante la Presale Rebellion, più che acquistare i pacchi di carte Rebellion il mio focus è sulle carte Chaos Legion perchè cercherò di potenziare ulteriormente le mie carte Chaos Legion e Riftwatchers per trovarmi meno a disagio quando non potrò più utilizzare nel Modern Format le mie carte Untamed preferite come ad esempio Byzantine Kitty che è in assoluto il mio evocatore preferito ed è anche l'evocatore che uso di più nelle battaglie di gioco.
Mi piace il meccanismo di ratazione delle carte delle edizioni più vecchie presente nel Modern Format ma penso anche che l'utilità di questo meccanismo è drasticamente ridotta dalla presenza dei bots nel Wild Format e ho spiegato le motivazioni in un mio precedente post che trovi al link successivo.

Splinterlands è il mio gioco blockchain preferito perchè mi piace giocare e mi piace aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte e anche perchè permette di scegliere tra diverse strategie di gioco e di investimento.
Io continuo a pormi obiettivi di crescita su Splinterlands, spero che i bots siano eliminati completamente da Splinterlands, continuo ad aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte utilizzabile nel Modern Format dove non ci sono i bots e aspetto con molta eccitazione l'inizio della general sale del set Rebellion, la fase 1.5 delle lands e le versioni completamente giocabili di Genesis League Soccer e Soulkeep che espanderanno l'ecosistema di Splinterlands
