In the present time, AI-related systems developing fast and there are some tools that are decreasing the workloads of humans and somewhere it is replacing humans. AI is creating danger for human jobs and many times people from the tech industry raised their voices against it. However, a recent report related to AI is positive and it may reduce the ongoing concern about the jobs of humans. Let me come to the point AI usage is increasing and because of that semiconductor chip demand is also increasing that is why this is creating jobs for humans in the semiconductor industry so I consider this as positive news regarding artificial intelligence.
There is an AI tool like chat gpt and to power this type of tool there is a NVIDIA chips that used. Nvidia is ahead in creating this AI chip. Recently it has been seen that the chip demand is rapidly growing and that is why new jobs are coming out related to this chip-making process. Nvidia is not only the player in this field but there are IBM, Intel, and AMD are also making this cheap so this is also a competitive industry but still there is some more demand for AI chips.
Open AI and meta companies have also entered this field. In such a situation, the cheap designers, manufacturers, and suppliers demands are rapidly increasing. A chip has a 50 billion market cap and this is huge according to this amount you can assume how big this market is and how many jobs it can create. In 2022, this market had a 0 valuation but now in 2024, you can see it has reached 50 billion. In this year 2024, there is 13% growth and within 2-3 years it can increase by 50% so it can create a lot of jobs.
There were multiple reports released in 2023 but this report is telling something else according to the the report that was released in 2023, the Semiconductor Industry Association estimated that the industry workforce in the United States could increase to approx 115,000 by the year 2030. Many tech companies in countries like India have been working towards manufacturing semiconductors for a long time, these companies include ASM Technologies Ltd, Tata Elxsi Ltd, SPEL Semiconductor Ltd, Moschip Technologies Ltd, HCL Technologies Ltd, Dixon Technologies Ltd, and Vedanta Limited. and Vedanta is the leader in this field.
It is sure that whenever these companies come forward they will get direct competition against Nvidia, IBM, Intel, and AMD. As a user, we don’t need to take care of competition because we want one thing which is a job for the people who losing jobs because of artificial intelligence.
