Martyr ability came with the Chaos legion edition otherwise it was not available in the Splinterlands game. There are many new players who don't know how to use this ability and I hope this post is gonna be helpful for them.

Martyr Ability Cards
Frecaller, fungus flinger, and venari marksrat are the monsters with martyr ability and the good thing is these monsters are cheap in splinterlands market so you can buy and upgrade them. Firecaller is the fire splinter card, fungus flinger is the earth splinter monster and venari markskrat is a neutral monster so I think venari marksrt is the best because you can use it in every splinter team. These all are ranged attack cards it is better to use according to the mana you got in the battle.
How To Place Martyr Card For The Maximum Benefit
You should set it in such a place, that it gives benefits to two monsters when dies. It also depended on the opponent's team. For example, you have to check the opponent's previous five teams and see the opponent taking a snipe, and sneak attack monsters. After seeing that put your card in the position where most attacks come and put the best monsters in front and behind the martyr ability monster. If you don't know then select the second position.
When you put a martyr ability card first or last, only one monster benefits from it so better to avoid this action. Anyway, you can upgrade these cards to use more abilities. Putting two martyr ability monsters is not good because there are only 6 slots available and you also need some great monsters with a heavy attack and good abilities so make space for them.
Martyr Ability With Resurrect
Let's say you have followed the above guidelines which means your martyr ability monster will die early in the battle. But if you have a resurrect ability monster in your team then it will bring back that martyr ability monster which means this monster will die two times. Two times dying means two time benefits for you which will make your cards stronger. You have seen that many players follow this strategy and they are getting success in gameplay. It will be difficult to defeat those monsters which affected positively by the martyr's ability.
