Today we find out if-- based on closing prices-- ETH, HBD, and CUB enter am alternating pattern on W's and L's. What this means in the short-term, who knows? This post just covers two topics: prices and projects. This post will show the closing prices for some cryptos as of 2022 January 28.

hive.ausbit.dev.Closing Prices for Some Cryptos, 2022 January 28
This is the reason for this post!
| Crypto | USD (Previous) | 28 January 2022 | 24h Trend | Streak |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin | 37,277.000 | 37,853.000 | UP ↗ | W4 |
| Ethereum | 2,411.860 | 2,551.110 | UP ↗ | L1W1L1W1 |
| Litecoin | 107.210 | 109.560 | UP ↗ | L2W2 |
| HBD | 0.990 | 0.992 | UP ↗ | W1L1W2 |
| Hive | 0.895 | 0.945 | UP ↗ | W4 |
| Cub Finance | 0.249 | 0.249 | UNCHANGED | W1L1W1U1 |
Closing Prices come from their respective Historical Data pages at CoinGecko.com.
- BTC and HIVE streak by to 4 W's, and LTC is on a 2 W streak.
- ETH won again, so it is in fact alternating L's and W's.
- LTC has 2 W's after starting with 2 L's.
- HBD avoided the alternating pattern by going on a 2 W streak.
- CUB technically went up for a W, but the gains aren't noticeable at Precision 3. Therefore, CUB turned out to be the first crypto to post a U for UNCHANGED.
Why Those Cryptos?
Bitcoin and Ethereum
As I prepare this post, the combined market dominance of Bitcoin and Ethereum close to 57%. That's reason enough.
HIVE and Hive-Based Dollar
Like Litecoin, Hive is one of the most criminally undervalued cryptocurrencies out there. That makes it entry as a Top 1% cryptocurrency by market cap even more amazing. Meanwhile, HBD is flying under the radar in the world of stablecoins.
Cub Finance
When many new Hivers encounter the terms "DeFi" or "decentralized fiannce," they also discover the Cub Finance (CUB) cryptocurrency that's on Binance Smart Chain. Right now, the sale on CUB continues, so buy while supplies last!
Litecoin
84 million LTC MAX supply compared to 21 million BTC MAX supply. Less intensive mining with Scrypt compared to Bitcoin's SHA-256. Tag-team mining (better known as merged mining or Auxiliary PoW) with any other Scrypt-based crypto, while Bitcoin stays solo. Other than those details, Litecoin is virtually the same as Bitcoin. You know the rest. By the way: when it comes to fees, it beats Ethereum.
Something To Read Besides a Table
I could just give closing prices for these 6 cryptos, but that may not be of sufficient value for some readers. What else could I include in this "short-form" post series?
- Selfies, but that would be out of place for me.
- Jokes, but most of my jokes would be mined from the LOLZ bot; I don't want any trouble with the issuer of LOLZ.
- Recipes, but I don't want to get people sick.
- Quotes from movies, pop-culture, business, history, etc. is a possibility, but I need to pick my spots.
So I decided to publicize as many as possible of the 156 dApps in various stages of development for the Hive platform. Since this series is devoted to closing prices for some coins, the natural first dApp to cover is hive.ausbit.dev by "@"ausbitbank.
Today's Bit about hive.ausbit.dev
Searching for a block number using hive.ausbit.dev is just as easy as searching for a transaction by its TX ID, and it's done in the same way. If you have a block number handy, just enter it into the search field, submit it, and details for that block will appear in a new page:
Click the image for a full-size view
Things to note about using hive.ausbit.dev to search for a block by its block number:
- The block number must be entered for search as digits only. If it contains other characters (such as from copying the block number), then the dApp will throw out an error message about it being an invalid account name.
- The URL leading to details about that block with that block number is made from 3 pieces separated by slashes:
- the domain name;
- the word "block"; and
- the entire block number.
The block number page also noted shows all the transactions bundled into this block. In this case, the block has 125 transactions or various types. The last 8 digits of a TX ID are provided at the top of each block as a link to the transaction.
Starting with the next post, options from the hamburger menu will be presented. The first of these to be featured will be "Create an Account".
Just My Two Sats
Streaks are usually presented in terms of W's and L's. Once in a while, the current closing price and the previous closing price are virtually the same number. These occurrences will be noted by a "U" for UNCHANGED along with a streak length (usually U1, but who knows?).
Looking for details about a block on Hive blockchain is easy with hive.ausbit.dev if you have the block number handy. Be sure theblock number has only digits; any punctuation present (usually from copying the block number from another page) will cause the dApp to throw out an invalid account name error message.
The hamburger menu control leads to a varied set of options, some of which aren't found in other blockchain explorers. Starting with the next post they will be presented in a bit more detail.
