News: December 12, 2022. The Price of Lithium-Ion Batteries Increased for the First Time

The prices of lithium-ion batteries started to be tracked since 2010. They are measured in US$ per kilowatt-hour. Back in 2010, the prices were about 1300 US$ per KWh. In 2022 they are 151 US$ per KWh. This means a 7% higher than last year.

The rising prices of lithium, nickel, cobalt, aluminum, and manganese are responsible for the rise of lithium-ion battery pack prices. The prices of lithium are expect to rise until 2024.
