News: October 10, 2022. France is Experiencing Fuel Supply Shortages Due to a Strike

There is currently a strike by the workers of oil refineries in France. For this reason, a third of the gas stations are shortages and long lines have started to be seen. The French government has tapped into their strategic fuel reserves in order to keep supply ongoing.

Workers at TotalEnergies are asking for a 10% pay increment starting this year after a surge in energy prices led to huge profits for the company. TotalEnergies paid out an estimated eight billion euros in dividends to its shareholders.
