This week Brave the crypto company that brought us Brave browser a privacy focused web browser that blocks data mining and tracking users online have acquired Tailcat.
Tailcat will transition to Brave Search to rival competitors such as Google, Bing and other online search engines. The major difference being Tailcat does not store or collect users data, search history or IP addresses. Instead the search engine utilises and independent search index to provide users with quick returns without compromising their privacy.
Online privacy continues to be a focus point for users as Brave browser grows from 11 million monthly users to 25 million. Online privacy leads to stronger security for users as their data does not get stored by companies.
Brave also announced future plans for privacy focused video and e-commerce content.
