Hi guys! In some Splinterlands Twitter space meetings today, we got a peek into the vision of Gold Foil Legendary cards and many are not ready for what is coming. Before I get into that, I’ll like to put this out there, Web3 gaming is the future of all gaming, gamers will own their assets, own full control of their accounts and become a part of the gaming economy by participating in governance that shapes the ecosystem of that game, currently there are only a handful of games that fulfill these ideals, the ones with the community that understands this vision will be the leaders of tomorrows gaming economies, that being said, Splinterlands is making strides in this multidimensional reality.

So having said that, Lands on Splinterlands have been the hype of late as the launch date draws to a close, and owning some space in this multidimensional reality is a given, hence the rush for Plots and Regions that come with it. Somebody asked me, what will we do with Lands when they come? Everything bro, from mining for resources to improving gameplay stats to building armies that will go and loot other players lands resources, we will be seeing everything and every special card will have a role to play. If you ever thought battles on Splinterlands ended at only Brawls, Ranked and Tournaments, you’re in for a rude awakening.

Gold Foil Legendaries or Land Plots?

Speaking of special cards having a role to play, According to the image above, speculations have it that there will be a slot on the land site for putting special cards to work, this power slots will take special cards like Runis and Legendary Monsters and I guess the rating of the power it’ll give will depend on whether or not it is a gold foil. Speaking of gold foil legendary cards, It is no news that most of them have lost 99.999% of their price value to the bear market, and the ones who’ve retained value have no buyers for their price so this begs me to question will you go for Lands or Gf Legendaries.

Now, according to what I’ve seen around so far, the value of a land depends on where it is located and the type it is whether rare or common. With the look of things, you might be needing more than one Plot to get the best of it especially if one of them is a common. For Legendary gold foils, call me biased but I think these will bring the most returns/value as they will be very instrumental in working on Lands.

The thing is that many Legendary cards are very limited in circulation, some have been combined to max, some have been burnt for DEC while others just have very low prints, maybe these didn’t matter before but we are just about to see that matter in full swing. To me, there won’t be enough Gold foil legendaries for everyone hence the reason for speculating on their increase in value, moreover, beside using them for lands, they also make a huge difference in battle, but then again, call me biased because I own a few but my bets are on Legendary gold foils for the long run.
