I tried at both places to rent out a room and was screwed over in the long run cause if/when they decide not to pay rent you can't kick them out and it can take months to kick them out and a lot of money. With proper lease agreements, renters can prevent some time and cost in the long run. but as a struggling single mother of 3 kids, it's impossible. I always had a backup plan albeit not the best of ones at times. We try to make it work and try to build up again and pray the cycle ends.
