Crypto transactions requires the most utmost care especially as it has the tendency to travel over a long distance in a split second.
You could loss your that tokens with the slightest wrong step and in most cases retrieving the money and data is very much impossible.
A wrong address or memo or using the wrong network to transfer tokens means that your deposit or withdrawal may never reach its destination.
Prior to this day it was easy for one to retrieve hive tokens sent to Binance if a wrong address or memo was inputed. One can just login to their websites version and and process this through the wrong deposit or withdrawal process but for this, the right address and memo was inputed without a prior knowledge that deposit were suspended hence, the transfered tokens never reached their destination.
Will there be a refund for all the hive tokens mistakenly sent during this suspension period?
We have often found Binance to be fast and reliable and many hivers already know their memo and address by heart, we didn't find the need to go check the binance app before placing a transfer and hence it was unknown to alot of us that there was a suspension before we sent down the tokens only to realize that they will never arise and deposit was suspended
For me it was only a few hive here since 13days ago
While am sure that some others have send larger amount of hive.
There was just no way one could retrieve this and am sure as many hivers are asking similar questions.
Anyway this has taught me a huge lesson about how to be more careful with crypto transactions transfer and how to avoid loss of your tokens...
Check and recheck your addresses and memo
Take total care to make sure that everything is in place before sending a token over different networks.
Do not rely on one crypto exchange for all your transactions.
And any other lesson you think we should know of.
In the meantime you can trade hive via several other means on roqque or through block trade and other exchanges.
