Hello to all Hivers and Gamers!
For the past weeks MydEmpire has been quietly built step by step.
Today I want to explain about our simple and sustainable economy.
Why We Chose Treasury Rewards Instead of an Inflationary Token
Every blockchain game must answer one critical question:
How does the economy sustain itself long-term?
Many games choose to issue their own token and reward players through token inflation. This model has enabled several successful projects across Web3 gaming.
For MydEmpire , we explored this path as well. But after careful design and simulation during the Genesis phase, we ultimately chose a different direction.
Our economy is built around a real treasury system rather than token inflation.
This decision was intentional and shaped by three goals:
- Long-term sustainability
- Transparent reward mechanics
- Alignment with the Hive ecosystem
The Treasury Model
In MydEmpire, rewards come from a shared treasury pool rather than newly minted tokens.
Players generate Empire Production (EP) through their factories and industrial infrastructure.
This production determines how much of the treasury reward pool a player can claim.
You can see this reflected directly inside the game dashboard where players claim HIVE rewards from the treasury rather than receiving newly minted tokens.
This means:
Production ⇨ share of treasury ⇨ real reward
Not:
Production ⇨ mint new token ⇨ increase supply
Why We Avoided Inflationary Tokens
Inflationary token systems can work well when carefully balanced. Many Hive projects successfully use them.
However, they also introduce several long-term design challenges:
1. Constant Inflation Pressure
New tokens must continuously be minted to reward players.
Over time this can create downward pressure on value unless demand grows faster than supply.
2. Economy Balancing Complexity
Inflation models require constant tuning:
- emission rates
- burn mechanics
- staking incentives
- sinks vs supply
Even small imbalances can destabilize the economy.
3. Market Dependence
If the reward token becomes the primary reward currency, the player experience becomes tightly tied to token price volatility.
For a strategy-driven empire game, we wanted rewards tied more to game participation rather than token speculation.
Why Treasury Rewards Fit MydEmpire
The treasury model changes the economic dynamics.
Instead of creating new supply, the system distributes existing value generated by the game itself.
Key benefits include:
- Sustainable reward pool
Rewards scale naturally with the treasury rather than infinite emissions.
- No token inflation
There is no constantly expanding token supply to dilute player rewards.
- Transparent economics
The treasury acts as the single visible reward source.
- Alignment with Hive
Rewards are paid in HIVE, integrating directly with the existing ecosystem.
Production Still Matters
Even without a token, player progression remains deeply strategic.
Players increase their reward share by:
- Building factories
- Expanding land infrastructure
- Unlocking blueprints
- Increasing Empire Production (EP)
- Using relic boosts
The more productive your empire becomes, the larger your slice of the treasury reward cycle.
A Different Kind of Game Economy
MydEmpire is not designed as a token farming economy.
It is designed as a strategic industrial economy.
Your empire grows through infrastructure, efficiency, and long-term planning.
Rewards are a reflection of productive contribution to the system, not simply token emissions.
Respecting Other Hive Game Models
Hive has a rich ecosystem of games, many of which successfully use token-based reward systems.
Our approach is to create something different then existing models.
A treasury-driven economic engine designed for long-term stability and strategic gameplay.
Different games can thrive with different models — and that diversity strengthens the Hive ecosystem as a whole.
Looking Ahead
The Genesis phase is only the beginning.
As MydEmpire evolves, the treasury system will continue to grow alongside the player economy, new industries, and future expansions.
We are excited to see how players build their empires within a transparent, production-driven economy.
The first empires are rising.
And this is only the beginning.
The MydEmpire world is just starting to grow.
