I've been talking about this since 2020 with a friend. The idea was to test out products first hand before releasing it to the general public.
But the lockdown had it's disadvantages, we couldn't meet physically to discuss and the virtual meetings just wasn't doing it for us. So like most people, we quit and the idea died down.
2021 was a busy year for me, I had school matters to take care of and there was still the recovering from the lockdown. It didn't occur to me too start up again.
My mind started to switch back when I finished reading the "SECRETS OF THE MILLIONAIRE MIND by T HARV EKER and moved on to the Richest man in Babylon. It was easy to understand these books because for the most part, they talked about the law of money and referenced each other. These books got me thinking. They made me realize that I've been playing the victim and I needed to sit up and of course I did.
I started engaging more on hive and looking for opportunities, grow my skill and that's when it hit me. I had an idea in 2020, why don't I establish that now.
Putting together a team wasn't hard. I already have a friend who was like minded and interested. All I needed was a content writer since I had not completed my content writing course yet. And having someone who knew what he was doing couldn't hurt. I reached out to another friend who was another friend who is a content writer already and is very good at it if I might add. Asked him if he'd want an upfront payment or he'd want to be part of the growing company, the chose the latter. Things kind of just fell into place since then.
The team and I established social media presence, spotted our target audience and went for it.
We're currently working on a website, give it a more professional look. The budget is limited but we make it work.
One of the biggest challenges is running ads on social media, the prices can be a little frightening sometimes but what isn't, we'll get through it.
With the amount of time and work everybody's is putting in, it's only a matter of time before things start running smoothly, or like my partner would say, "A fully functional, self sustaining machine".
Any advice for a growing business?
