Yes, I know very well that Whatsapp is an app dedicated to the messaging of videos, audios, photos and texts, on the other hand Project Blanck intends to incur as a space dedicated to microblogging, therefore its most direct comparison (or rival) would be Twitter, but the subject of this publication goes beyond comparisons, what I intend is to point out how the fact that there is an increasing number of voices against the arbitrary and unreliable ways that this type of social networks apply to their users, at a time when humanity is debating between giving up freedoms to stay within the safety of the herd or refusing to use technologies that invade privacy or infringe on freedom of expression and being a social hermit.
Whatsapp is undoubtedly the most used app in the world, its simplicity as well as the fact of using the internet or mobile data to do the same as the telephone companies but cheaper ensures its supremacy in the taste of consumers, however, the fact of being part of Facebook products transmits a great distrust among a large part of the users due to the recognized habit of that company to sell our information to institutions and central powers assuming that the data we provide belongs to them, at least that is what we authorize when we accept their policies of use.
If there is something that makes people angry is to be forced to accept what they do not want, in this case, Whatsapp (or Facebook?) insists on imposing its new usage policy and warns that if it is not complied with by the user he will be prevented from using his account. Beyond reasonable doubts about whether or not Whatsapp has mechanisms that allow it to invade our privacy, the truth is that this way of imposing conditions resembles those applied by dictators in banana republics, which is why many of its users are considering migrating to other forms of communication in social networks that are freer and less invasive.
It is there where the entire #Hive ecosystem with #Leofinnce at the head opens the door and gives refuge to those who do not accept the arbitrariness of the conventional system, not only for the fact of being a space where ideas run freely but are also rewarded monetarily. Of course, being Project Blanck a product aimed at microblogging, where users will monetize their thoughts in short format (almost like a text message) will create the pleasant feeling in both old and new members that freedom is not only good, it also rewards you in the form of cryptocurrency.
Those who join Project Blanck without knowing the Hive or Leofinance ecosystem will immediately see that this is very different from the common social networks, unlike Facebook, Twitter or Whatsapp here there is no central entity that seeks to impose its ideas on users, nor are mechanisms used to sell or somehow to engender your publications, what you share here is your property and will be recorded in the blockchain forever. Likewise, the fact of receiving an economic compensation just for sharing a few short ideas generates expectations and desire to start this new stage that looks with a bright future.
I understand that Project Blanck is in preliminary stages and that its expected release feels close, that is why I am encouraged to write this publication, to invite those who read me to convince their friends, family and contacts to join this decentralized social network, which offers the opportunity to generate monetary income if you are original or if you support with your upvote the ideas of other members. It is true that few will stop using Whatsapp and other popular but disreputable apps, but it will always be good to show the world that there are other, freer and equally efficient alternatives waiting for you.
