Atlas Navi is a fun new "drive to earn" GPS app. It's a lot like Waze. I'm using it to make a little extra money as a side gig to my professional driving job. I've been using it for a little over a year now.
The Many Faces of Atlas Navi
Atlas Navi includes several components. Its main function is as a GPS updated with real time user reports like Waze. Like Waze, if you're the only one in your area making reports, then the reported data isn't worth much. I live in Wyoming and near as I can tell, I'm the only one around here using it so it doesn't help much on alerts. The company is focused on Romania and near as I can tell, there are several Romanians using it so maybe the reports are useful there. I will say that it works just fine as a GPS here in Wyoming and Colorado, although Waze is a bit more polished. NAVI tokens that you earn while driving can be used for discounts at gas stations in Romania if you ever find yourself driving through Romania.
AI
Navi has an AI component as well. If you run the AI, it will auto-detect the events that are worthy of a report and send those in. Obviously your phone has to be positioned in a place where it can see the road. My phone is older though and just doesn't have the hardware necessary to run the AI. I suspect most people use Navi with their smartphone, but Navi also sells a piece of hardware that you can use to connect to your dash-cam that will submit reports and earn you tokens as you drive. It's called the "Atlas Miner."
NFT
Navi has an NFT component. You can download Navi and use it for free, but if you want to earn tokens then you must first purchase an NFT. The NFT's are NOT cheap. Each NFT will have a range, say 28 miles that you can drive and earn MILES with for that day. To earn more miles you will have to wait 24 hours, or buy gas in app to get more earning miles. In my opinion, buying gas isn't worth it. Just wait and use the app tomorrow.
Cryptocurrency
Finally Navi has a cryptocurrency component. It's broken into two parts. Once you purchase an NFT, you can start earning $MILES tokens for distance driven while using the app. You can then later exchange your $MILES tokens for $NAVI tokens. The exchange rate changes regularly. As of this writing, it takes 10 MILES to get 1 NAVI. NAVI is the real token. Once you get NAVI you can sell it, you can stake it and HODL it, or you can use NAVI to buy another NFT. By the way, NAVI is an Ethereum based token.
The NFT's vary on how much MILES they earn you. Also, the more miles your NFT has on it, the less MILES it will earn you. Just like a real car!
Token Price
The price of NAVI has been very low for the past few months. It's a mere $0.0327 as of this writing. I've held and staked everything I've earned in the hopes that the price will pump with the Alt-Season that I hope is just around the corner. Frankly, at these prices, considering the high cost of the NFT, it just isn't worth it. However the price of NAVI hit $0.50 in 2024 and at that price, it was profitable to buy an NFT and do some driving with NAVI. Hopefully sunny days return again.
Getting Started
If you want to use Atlas Navi, here's a little mini guide on how to do it.
**Step 1: ** Download the Atlas Navi app in your phone's app store.
Step 2: Download the Atlas Market app, you'll need that to do wallet functions.
Step 3: Make sure you have a wallet, like Metamask or something, because you'll need a wallet with some $ETH in it to withdraw your NAVI and stake it.
**Step 4: ** Buy an NFT in the market in the NAVI app. They have four NFT options at the moment. The cheapest is $349 for the Atlas Navi Sedan. The priciest is the Atlas Navi SUV at $699. I'm a truck driver so I got the Atlas Navi Truck for $619. Maybe you can get a deal on a used NFT car over at Open Sea?
Step 5: Drive and earn! Remember, you've only got a certain amount of miles you can drive in a day where it will earn. Don't buy gas. It's not worth it.
Step 6: Once you've got some MILES built up, exchange them for NAVI. The current exchange rate is 1 NAVI = 10 MILES.
Step 7: Now that you've got some NAVI built up, stake it! Or sell it. KuCoin, or Uniswap are the best places to exchange your NAVI.
Staking
Staking NAVI is pretty easy. Connect your wallet to the Navi Staking Page Then choose your staking option and wait. You can earn 10%, 15%, or 20% APY depending on the length of lockup you choose. The 10% option has no penalty for early withdrawal. Staking and un-staking costs a little bit of ETH gas fees so I wouldn't bother with staking unless you have at least 1,000 NAVI.
My Strategy
My little strategy here is to sell out my NAVI as soon as it pumps this alt season. I'm not interested in NAVI long term because they are all in on the Globalists' 15 minute smart city garbage. I don't like Globalists or the people who help them. I guess I'm helping them for now, but I need to recoup the cost of my NFT car.
To really turn my hypocrisy up to 11, Atlas Navi has a referral program. If you decide to use NAVI and would like to join my driving club, which will give me a little kickback, enter the code: lahjji
Graphics
Here's some images to illustrate how the app looks. It's fairly intuitive and you won't have much trouble figuring out how to move around if you aren't scared of pushing a few buttons to see what happens.
