I'm sad that three American soldiers have been reported killed at a remote outpost in Jordan. 34 other personnel were evacuated, most to be evaluated for traumatic brain injury. Someone flew an explosive laden drone into the base and apparently hit the barracks.
I'm a veteran myself, and I hate hearing about my fellow soldiers getting killed. It especially angers me because we've spent the past 20 plus years wasting our lives and treasure in Middle East wars that have devastated the Middle Easterners and made America less secure. A few high level people have gotten very rich and powerful by losing wars in the Middle East though, so I guess they just want to keep doing it.
"They" are blaming Iran for this attack.
Maybe it was Iran. Maybe it wasn't. The US has given oh so many people in that region good reason to hate. And you can't rule out the US attacking itself as a false flag to get the war that Israel has always wanted them to wage on Iran. I doubt that is the case. It very well could have been Iran, but I do have to wonder. The only thing I know for sure is that the US' ruling class is the most despicable bunch of pathological liars this world has seen so far.
I do take comfort in the fact that many aren't buying it anymore. Global War On Terror (GWOT) vets don't buy it for a minute, unless they work for Raytheon. I'm happy to see many GWOT vets on Twitter slapping down the chicken hawks who are screaming for a war with Iran right now. Here's one of the best!

It's a fantastic read. Every American veteran of the Afghanistan war knows the score. Our leaders knew damn well they weren't ever going to win that war since as early as 2002 yet we continued playing life and death patty cake with the Taliban for 20 years. The whole thing was a shameful waste and the ultimate purpose was just to launder as much money as possible from the American taxpayer, through the Military Industrial Complex, and into the pockets of dirtbags like the Pelosi's and the Cheney's.

Americans have been dreaming of slaughtering each other off and on for the past ten years though. What's causing this recent flare up?
Invasion.
America has been getting invaded across the Southern border with Mexico for longer than I've been alive. The Republicans and Democrats passed bipartisan legislation in the 80's under Reagan that gave all the illegals already here amnesty and promised to stop any future illegals. The amnesty was given, but no future illegals were stopped.
The immigration continued. Trump promised to put a stop to it, but Trump did nothing.
Since Biden took office however, the immigration has reached numbers never seen before. All the immigration America has taken in the past 30 years has drastically changed every neighborhood in the country, but now we're seeing a level of immigration that can only be properly called an invasion.
A number of people equivalent to the city of Chicago comes across that border every month. Chicago is a BIG city. These invaders are given $3,000 a piece, housing, healthcare. All of this while more Americans are homeless than ever before. Our schools are a complete disaster. Our infrastructure is crumbling. Boomers can't afford to retire. Millennials can't afford to buy a home and start a family. But by golly we send hundreds of billions to Ukraine and Israel. We can import millions of foreigners and watch our children grow up outcasts in the land their great grandfathers conquered. American women (and children) will soon face the same rape threat that European women and children face dealing with all their new arrivals.
Maybe Texas has finally had enough?
Texas Governor, Greg "Wheels" Abbott, seems to be standing up to DC. I sure hope this is real. Here's a brief timeline:
**11 January 2024 - **Texas National Guard Troops close a border crossing in the town of Eagle Pass. Texas Governor Gregg Abbott signs an emergency declaration.
22 January 2024 - The US Supreme Court, in a 5-4 decision orders Texas to reopen their border and continue to allow the invasion. Notable here is that Amy Coney Barrett, a Trump appointee, crossed the aisle and voted against Texas.
24 January 2024 - Texas Governor tells the Supreme Court to shove it (metaphorically).
Since then several states have one by one been pledging their support for Texas. Here's a helpful map:
This is setting up for a serious constitutional crisis in the United States. Here's a PBS segment wringing their hands over just such a thing.
Personally, I don't see what the big deal is. Blue states and blue cities have been ignoring the Supreme Court whenever it makes a right leaning decision for as long as I've been alive. Nothing ever happens to them.
Biden has threatened to halt Texas Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) exports. This would not only hurt Texas, but would also make countries that were going to buy Texas LNG buy Russian LNG instead. The Biden administration is just dumb. Really dumb.
Maybe Texas can hire the Houthis to drive the US Navy out of the Gulf of Mexico?
Interestingly, Governor Abbott has been in India this whole time, pushing a deal to get more visas for tech workers. So I guess some immigrants are more equal than others? This, and other things make me think this entire thing might be just a show.
Amusingly Marc Clair said that Texas is joining BRICS to make it TRICS. LOL!
Abbott has been governor of Texas for a while. He's complained about the invasion here and there, but so far he's more or less facilitated it. A citizen journalist went to Eagle Pass and recorded a video showing the Texas Guard Troops on the border, but then drove a mere half mile down the road and showed open gates. A guy I trust on Twitter said that the open gates were access points for local landowners to get to their river front property. I don't know what to believe.
I'm very surprised that my own Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon joined the fight on Texas' side. He's a globalist dirtbag and I'm always surprised on the rare occasion that he does something good.
Something really crazy like a gunfight between federal and state troops is a possibility. It's a remote possibility, but it is a possibility. The Federal government being fully exposed as not doing one of its most basic of jobs, border security is a big deal. States forming a coalition to oppose DC policy is also an incredible development. This could really be a big deal.
On the other hand, it is an election year. Americans are rightly furious about the immigration situation, and the ruling class knows this. I would bet that they are just trying to get us Red Staters to blow off some steam so they can resume replacing us with more compliant third world workers.
We certainly live in interesting times. Chinese curse style!
