Over the past couple of weeks we have seen significant changes ongoing on the PlatON ecosystem and it seems DApp development is beginning to take shape and looking more promising as each day passes, from a play to earn and over to an AMM and it seems it is just the beginning of numerous upcoming unvealings.
Hi guys and welcome to another lovely Sunday morning, the weather is looking windy and definitely one of those days you just want to stay tuck indoors while you research on various ongoing crypto related activities, after all what else is there to do?
From our previous writeups we discussed about Stone Aeon, it's nft mint sale, distribution, and ongoing activities. Today's article will be focused on one of the recent partnership/cooperation PlatON network did and its none other than Dipoleswap.
Prior to now, majority of Lat token holders were dependent on centralized exchange to make swaps and some even had to store their holdings on centralized exchange due to the somewhat stress and security issues of moving their tokens from exchange to a self custodial wallet this decision were most likely made due to no availability of trading outside a centralized exchange and also others who had no idea of how reliable/relevant self custodial wallets are. So let's talk a little on this today.
Self custodial wallets are one of many types of wallet that allows users to have full control over their assets meaning they decide what goes on and not dependent on any 3rd party to stay online before performing any transaction, unlike a centralized wallet that can decide to go offline or maintenance and by doing this your holdings become temporary unavailable, self custodial does not undergo such, if a self custodial wallet decides to undergo maintenance, users can easily decide to import their mnemonic or private key to another wallet that supports PlatON and once again have full access to their funds which makes it more easier to use and also more security wise.
Aton wallet, Metamask, TokenPocket are simply some of the self custodial wallet that supports the handling of PlatON Network and its tokens.
With that brief explanation let's discuss how self custodial wallets affect decentralized exchanges and storing of assets.
For anyone who have traded in any centralized exchange should have the experience of filling a KYC aka know your customer which basically has to do with providing your full name, address, and other personal data and many individuals might feel reluctant to complete such form as they rather stay anonymous and this is where decentralized exchange comes in.
Many self custodial wallets comes with an in-app web3 browser that allows users to interact with DApps built on a specific blockchain or network, and decentralized exchange is an example of a dapp (decentralized applications).
Decentralized exchange or DEX for short allows one to create markets against different pairs, provide liquidity which allows one to swap one of this provided pairs to another and many even offers certain incentives for doing so and while all these are simply some of its features, the major or what many know it for is the ability to swap without filling any KYC form, meaning while you continue to stay anonymous you can also trade cryptocurrencies for one to another seamlessly without any 3rd party interference, it is simply you, your mobile or pc whichever device you decide to use and the web3 making it one of most sort of exchange.
Few days back PlatON network made an official announcement via their twitter page regarding the cooperation with them and Dipoleswap, a DEX that is built on the PlatON network that allows individuals to trade PlatON network based token from Lat to USDT and it will be further integrated with a bridge feature to bridge in other tokens like ETH and over time other tokens will be included making it one of the most relevant updates that has been made prior to now and I must say this is a great feature that is bound to bring liquidity to the entire PlatON network and make trading easier and interesting.
You can access Dipoleswap via this link https://dipoleswap.exchange/swap and if you decide to bridge your ETH over to the PlatON network then simply use this link https://bridge.platon.network/bridge bridging is fast and takes a couple of minutes to complete
Liquidity providers on Dipoleswap will most likely stand a chance to earn Lat token and over time other tokens.
This is all for today and if you have any question relating to the above simply leave a comment behind and I will be sure to answer ASAP.
Meanwhile don't forget to follow PlatON Network and Dipoleswap
