Over time we have seen ideas die of, dreams get washed up due to lack of funds, community, and even backers, we have devs with brilliant ideas but little to no connection to actually make all this a reality and this is where HAPathon comes in.
On November 2022, three of the top industries in their various fields came to an understanding to create something the world has never seen before, some might call it a light to every devs lacking funds, or a starting point to boost start your career in the blockchain industry, well whatever you describe it has, I am sure within your lines you might be right. In November 2022, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed in among three parties (PlatON, Alibaba Cloud and HashKey Group). The MOU aims to explore potential collaborations on various projects, including co-developing and supporting an infrastructure and technology platform for developers in the Web3 space, such as cloud computing and multi-chain Web 3.0 infrastructure to build various Web 3.0 applications and protocols in gaming, social media and the Metaverse, among others.
The discussion went further and on January 9th 2023, an official statement was brought forth titled HAPathon 2023. This is a co-host event by the 3 various parties to host a 2 month event starting from March 2023 and ending on April 2023 with the aim of bringing more than 1 thousand individuals, teams, and what have you to participate and showcase their various invention from a theoretical perspective to a practical setting with no regional restrictions, meaning anyone from any part of the world can join in.
The event will cut across four major Asia cities — Singapore, Bangkok, Tokyo, and Hong Kong, which is where the Final will be held.

HAPathon timeline:
Singapore competition: 18–19 March 2023 (Registration deadline: 12 March 2023)
Bangkok competition: 25–26 March 2023 (Registration deadline: 19 March 2023)
Tokyo competition: 1–2 April 2023 (Registration deadline: 26 March 2023)
Hong Kong competition (Finals): 8–9 April 2023 (Registration deadline: 2 April 2023).
