I want to use this medium to greet all great Hivers. How has been your day so far, hope you are all doing good? I'm positive minded that it's all well and fine.
If one, two or more persons are giving the task to define what cost of production is, one would discover that there are going to be different perspective of how different people feel about what "cost of production" really means. Different people with different ideas, views and experiences. But according me, I see Poultry farming business as one of the straight forward business asides the risks and complications that are attached to it.
What do you need for the cost of production?
The birds, the pen, the feeders and drinkers, the feeds and probably the vaccines. But out of these things listed, the feeds alone cover almost 70 percent of the cost of production. Let's assume that N120,000 Nigerian currency ( that's 104 in dollars) is to take care of 50 birds from day old to six weeks. Only the feed can cover almost N90,000 (78 dollars) of the total cost of production.
So, the cost of production is the total amount of capital that's meant to produce a certain batch of chicken from day old till their days of harvest. If you give this same term to someone who is into producing pure water sachet, his or her definition of cost of production might be different.
As important as the birds in the Poultry farm business so as the feeding too. If you have the birds without feeding them it's as if you are doing the business for nothing. That's it advised that it's better you have the money on ground to feed your birds before bringing them into your Pen having in mind that once your birds lack feed to consume at the appropriate time this would affect their growth and weight.
With evidence, birds weight is one of the most important outcome of Broiler chicken as a commercial Poultry farm business Person. Basically, you are selling on weight and the quantity and quality of feed you give to your birds is the result of weight you are bound to get. There's no short cut in running Poultry farm where you expected huge kilograms of weight while you feed them less.
