I want to use this medium to greet all great Hivers. How has been your day so far, hope you are all doing good? I'm positive minded that it's all well and fine.
Despite that I'm a small scale Poultry Farmer,there are lot of things the keep encouraging me about my poultry farm business with the view that it's going to grow bigger and larger. I have started the farming business for quite a while now and the fun part can't be underestimated. For the fact that I rear chicken organically is one that gives me joy without using any Orthodox means is one to be proud about.
Among the farming business that we have around, chicken meat are one of the healthy meat that you could find around after fish. If you can around and do some surveys, you will discover that people prefer chicken meat more than any other meat. I even have a family customer that who has traveled abroad. While they were in Nigeria, they don't eat any other other meat other than chicken meat.
Another thing that interest me is that, it is so easy to find customers to buy your chicken product. Although there might be issue on price to sell.bjt you surely find customers to buy your chicken products. The price might vary depending on if you are selling to a wholesaler and a retailer. The price might be different.
One more thing is that, to start up a Poultry farming for business as a scale Poultry Farmer, you don't need to have huge amount of money. You can start as little as you can afford, maybe from 50 birds. At least 120,000 Nigerian currency can take care of 50 birds from day old to six weeks that you will start selling.
I'm also amused by the fast growing of the Poultry farm business locally. Far way back most of the chicken meat we consume here were imported once but now the large part of the chicken meat we consume are local chicken product. Meanwhile the accolade of this development should be directed to former President of Nigeria, who with the help of the closure of borders improved the production of the local made chicken.
