I want to use this medium to greet all great Hivers. How has been your day so far, hope you are all doing good? I'm positive minded that it's all well and fine.
Before going into poultry farm business, there are some analysis that are needed to be done most especially cost analysis. What exactly do we mean by cost analysis? Cost analysis is the total amount of capital that a business farmer is going to spend on a particular batch of birds while also having a left over capital for the farm business in case any situation arises. What are the situations that may arise during the course of rearing Broiler chicken for business? For example, you might budgeted total amount of feed that will sustain 100 birds for six weeks hoping you are selling exactly that period. What if marketing and supplying situation changes and you need to wait a little while before you are able to sell? This is the period, the left over capital comes to play.
So I see cost analysis as a means of forecasting financially what might happen later on in the farming business. It's a means of preparing financially ahead what might happen later in the business. And this what most new farmers shy away from when starting a business. Once they exhausted their main budget for the business, they get trapped in the closet and the farm business get jeopardized. The funniest thing is that poultry farm business could be tricky at times, you might be targeting to sell at a particular moment but later on situation changes and you might need to keep them for a while, if such individual isn't financially ready, what do you think will happen to such business? It will certainly heads downward.
In conclusion, being financially ready and buoyant helps to keep the business afloat. It helps to keep the rhythm of the business. So having enough capital to fund your farming business from the beginning to the end of it will help to keep the business alive. So my advice for new poultry Farmers who are thinking of venturing into the business should please at least make sure they venture into the business with what they can afford to bear.
