Gossip belongs to the rabble and is totally unproductive and harmful
I am in favor of being informed, but with truthful information, from reliable sources and that allows us to act in the different areas of our lives; but what I am not in favor of is gossip, spreading unfounded rumors about others (companies or people), or being aware of what others do or do not do on a personal level with their lives.
Gossipy people are toxic, negative, mean, treacherous and unreliable, irresponsible and unworthy of consideration. In short, gossipy people are rabble, used to doing unproductive things, because gossip is unproductive and harmful; because through gossip, the gossipy person always seek to harm someone else.
Talk to me about business, about productive things, don't talk to me about gossip
That's why I always tell people when they come to tell me gossip, that they don't interest me at all, because I'm not interested in anything anyone does with their life, as long as it doesn't negatively affect me at all. Nor am I interested in being the object of gossip or the gossipy person of any kind, because I truly know that those who come to you with gossip about others, also go to others with gossip about you.
In short, as I said, gossipy people are not to be trusted
Unfortunately, gossips have always existed and will always exist, and we are precisely in the age of gossips; where they have proliferated more than normal, everywhere. We can see an example of this through the media themselves, where we can see fake news on the most diverse topics and people, including the economic sphere.
For all of the above, I always tell people to talk to me about business, about productive things, not about nonsense or gossip that doesn't interest me. For the same reason, I check everything I am told, or what I read and hear, with the information I get from reliable sources. Because no matter how much I say I'm not into gossip, people are always trying to influence you with false information; since it seems that it is something that is found in human nature in general. But not mine, obviously, because I don't accept it at all.
When we are traders we must be informed
It is true that when we are traders, we must always be informed; even more than usual than any business person should be; but one thing is real, serious and reliable information, and another very different thing is rumors and gossip.
That is why when faced with supposed information, I always inquire about its sources, to verify that they are reliable, and I also always seek information through reliable sources about everything that interests me at the level of my business.
Because information is power; That phrase continues to be true, but it is even more true today, where fake news is multiplying everywhere and most people seem to have no level of discernment or filter to know how to distinguish what is true from what is not.
In a world where technology has surrounded us with smart devices (smartphones, smart TVs, smart washing machines, smart fridges, etc.); most people seem to be getting dumber and more gullible, because they don't understand that fake news exists and they also don't understand that fake news is the business of many interest groups that seek to create wrong opinion matrices on various topics in order to benefit theirselves in the process.
At the trading level, what we call information, are what allow us to do the fundamental analysis; but we must always investigate the sources of said information and we must also contrast it with the technical analysis and our own level of discernment of what is happening in the markets.
In addition to this, we must have an appropriate trading and investment strategy where we set specific take profit and stop loss points and at the same time correctly manage our capital and our emotions to act in the most disciplined way possible in all senses.
For all of the above and much more, I always repeat: Talk to me about business, not gossip!

No me hables de chismes, háblame de dinero
La mayoría de las personas en el mundo parecen dar demasiada prioridad a las cosas sin importancia, incluidos los chismes; y francamente, no me interesa nada que tenga que ver con eso.

El chisme pertenece a la chusma y es totalmente improductivo y dañino.
Soy partidario de estar informados, pero con información veraz, de fuentes confiables y que nos permita actuar en los distintos ámbitos de nuestra vida; pero de lo que no soy partidario es de cotillear, de difundir rumores infundados sobre los demás (empresas o personas), o de estar pendiente de lo que los demás hacen o dejan de hacer a nivel personal con sus vidas.
Las personas chismosas son tóxicas, negativas, malas, traicioneras y poco confiables, irresponsables e indignas de consideración. En fin, los chismosos son chusma, acostumbrados a hacer cosas improductivas, porque el chisme es improductivo y dañino; porque a través del chisme, el chismoso siempre busca dañar a alguien más.
Háblame de negocios, de cosas productivas, no me hables de chismes
Por eso siempre le digo a la gente cuando vienen a contarme chismes, que no me interesan para nada, porque no me interesa nada de lo que nadie haga con su vida, siempre y cuando no me afecte en nada negativamente. Tampoco me interesa ser objeto de chismes ni de chismoso de ningún tipo, porque en verdad sé que los que vienen a nosotros con chismes de otros, también van a otros con chismes de nosotros.
En resumen, como dije, la gente chismosa no es de fiar.
Desgraciadamente, los chismes siempre han existido y siempre existirán, y estamos precisamente en la era de los chismes; donde han proliferado más de lo normal, por todas partes. Un ejemplo de ello lo podemos ver a través de los propios medios de comunicación, donde podemos ver fake news sobre los más diversos temas y personas, incluso del ámbito económico.
Por todo lo anterior, siempre le digo a la gente que me hable de negocios, de cosas productivas, no de tonterías o chismes que no me interesan. Por la misma razón, compruebo todo lo que me dicen, o lo que leo y escucho, con la información que obtengo de fuentes confiables. Porque no importa cuánto diga que no me gustan los chismes, la gente siempre está tratando de influir sobre ti con información falsa; ya que parece que es algo que se encuentra en la naturaleza humana en general. Pero no en mi naturaleza, obviamente, porque no lo acepto en absoluto.
Cuando somos comerciantes debemos estar informados
Es cierto que cuando somos comerciantes, siempre debemos estar informados; incluso más de lo habitual de lo que debería estar cualquier persona de negocios; pero una cosa es la información real, seria y fidedigna, y otra muy distinta son los rumores y las habladurías.
Es por eso que ante supuestas informaciones siempre indago en sus fuentes, para verificar que sean confiables, y también siempre busco información a través de fuentes confiables sobre todo lo que me interesa a nivel de mi negocio.
Porque la información es poder; Esa frase sigue siendo cierta, pero lo es aún más hoy en día, donde las fake news se multiplican por doquier y la mayoría de la gente parece no tener un nivel de discernimiento o filtro para saber distinguir lo que es cierto de lo que no lo es.
En un mundo donde la tecnología nos ha rodeado de dispositivos inteligentes (teléfonos inteligentes, televisores inteligentes, lavadoras inteligentes, refrigeradores inteligentes, etc.); la mayoría de las personas parecen volverse más tontas y crédulas, porque no entienden que existen noticias falsas y tampoco entienden que las noticias falsas son el negocio de muchos grupos de interés que buscan crear matrices de opinión erróneas sobre varios temas para para beneficiarse en el proceso.
A nivel de trading, lo que llamamos información, es lo que nos permite hacer el análisis fundamental; pero siempre debemos investigar las fuentes de dicha información y también debemos contrastarla con el análisis técnico y nuestro propio nivel de discernimiento de lo que sucede en los mercados.
Sumado a esto, debemos tener una adecuada estrategia de trading y de inversión donde fijemos puntos específicos de take profit y stop loss y al mismo tiempo gestionemos correctamente nuestro capital y nuestras emociones para actuar de la forma más disciplinada posible en todos los sentidos.
Por todo lo anterior y mucho más, siempre repito: ¡Háblame de negocios, no de chismes!
