It's always exciting for a mother who sees her child taking a step each day. When the child is consistent in taking a step to walk like every other person, someday, he or she would achieve that. An individual who set a goal and keeps working towards it even when it seems hard along the way, with patience and consistency, such a goal would be actualized.
Ever since I joined Hive, I have a goal which I keep working on. Along the line, I met the Leofinance community where I took the decision to meet at a certain stage at the end of the year with the community's token (Leo) and it became a thing I kept focusing on meeting up. Though it wasn't easy but once your mind has been set on something, nothing is stopping you.
It's a big challenge indeed for me and I love to set goals and see that I achieve them as it would surely make me happy to see how far I went to make them attainable and of course, achievable.
Here is an overview of my last month's earnings on Hive. This is the result of my daily show up and being consistent on the blockchain. I know this is little compared to what others earn per day or week, still, I am grateful to achieve this. In June, I increased my Hive Power to 296.16 while I had 88.03 Hbd. This is equivalent to $186.46. This is more than some people's monthly income in their 9-5 jobs whereas, I work from home to achieve this.
It's another moment to talk about how my Leo goal is fairing. Am I still on track? Have I given up already? No, this is because I am so much interested in building my Leo account just like adding up my Hive Power to have an influence in the community and ecosystem as a whole. The journey hasn't been easy but I am almost getting there and even crossing over.
In December, I took part in the challenge to have a certain amount of Leo Power which is getting to 5000 LP by the end of the year 2023 with me powering up 370 Leo tokens every month during the Leo Power Up Day which comes up every 15th. Ever since I started, a month hasn't been missed and it keeps helping me increase my Leo token.
Looking at my Leo wallet, it gives me the joy to see the little step I keep taking as it is progress still. Right now, I am having 4000 Leo Power staked and my rank is still as a Newborn Cub. My goal is to become a Cub in the community and once I reached 5000 LP, the role would be changed. How did I achieve that?
By posting: Thanks to the community for its support on every post including mine. Ever since the new update about revamping, my posts have always been curated once I am eligible and followed the rules to get curated. At the end of seven days, the amount Leo earned would be sent to my wallet. So far, I try my best to make 2-3 Leofinance posts every week as I have other communities I have joined.
By curating: With curation, you earn rewards too which helps to add up in your wallet. I curate posts in the community and also on Leothreads. Your curation rewards get higher when your voting Power is much. Even with your little vote value, it means something to the community since you are doing your best to show up every day.
By Microblogging: Thanks to the Twitter on Hive called Leothreads. Threading is another way to earn Leo, Hive and Hbd tokens when you make short posts like on Twitter. I make sure to show up daily to make some threads and with the micro-earnings I get on my threads, it adds up and becomes significant after some time. One thing I follow up with is the quote that says a little drop of water makes an ocean.
By Buying: Apart from those mentioned ways to increase my Leo tokens, I buy from Leodex which is the internal market on Hive. This is a process of using your Hive to purchase Leo tokens to power up. The HBD and Hive earned on my posts are what I use to get the token to meet up with my monthly goal of powering up. The challenge I am having here is that the $LEO keeps increasing and not like some months back when it was easier to purchase more, but now, it's getting a little harder but it does not stop me from buying the little I can to meet up.
By Delegation: I delegated some Hive Power to Leovoter which gives me some cents daily. This is another way through which my token gets increased. I am still working towards delegating more to receive more rewards but I will need to have enough Hive Power.
Right now, I am having 192 Liquid Leo and still would be getting more before the next LPUD so I can power up which keeps me going in reaching 5000 Leo Power which would be achieved before the end of the year. It's remaining 5 months in this year which means, I still have 6 more times to power up this year and I am sure of crossing over my goal. With that, I won't stop doing my best to accumulate more Leo and also help the community to grow too.
