Splinterland's: What to buy? DEC, SPS, VOUCHER, or CHAOS packs?
Blame it on the SEC or you can blame it on the poor market sentiment but the truth is that Splinterlands assets are in firesale except for DEC that pumped due to the DEC burning event that is happening currently. When everything is in a firesale, the question always arises in mind what is the best token or asset to maximize profits. Though Splinterlands has plenty of assets that include from previous edition packs,cards to Land and SPT. In the current scenario, DEC, SPS, VOUCHERS, and CHAOS packs are most traded and have decent liquidity to accumulate. So let us focus on these 4 assets and think what look best to hold for a time being.
1. DEC
Due to DEC burning event, DEC is around 80 cents per 1000 and still 20% below the peg. If someone requires DEC for Land staking, I feel DEC purchase will make sense. Though Splinterlands announcements and timings are very important as I expect DEC to again back to 70 cents if there is a considerable gap in land release and end of the burn event.
2. CHAOS packs
They were sold for 4000 DEC from the official store but currently can be purchased for 1500-1700 DEC in Hive Engine which is a serious discount. I expect them to be at least 2000 DEC worth. Buying them, and holding them for short-term gain look promising to me. Even buying them for opening is also not a bad option.
3.VOUCHER
Trading for just 75 DEC, I feel this might be a good point to accumulate them. Even in the latest promotion, Splinterland accepted VOUCHER as equivalent to 250 DEC, So I am seeing a guaranteed 200%+ gains here but if you do not plan to purchase anything from the site then your use of VOUCHER is very limited and Splinterlands yet to create some strong burn use case for them.
SPS
This is an absolute gem as it has capped supply of 3 Billion. Though supply looks on the high side and it also explains the current 2 cents price of SPS. I do not expect any short-term gains here but SPS has much more utility to come. Once DEC burn is completed, SPS will start mooning and my personal bet is of > 100x in SPS in the long frame of time (say 5 years.) I am accumulating more SPS and plan to hold strong. It has the potential to generate life-changing sums of money in the future.
