I think am not the only one who feels extremely privileged to have discovered Hive. Hive is becoming a huge part of my life right now, the influence is becoming extremely obvious. I can’t go a day talking to someone without mentioning Hive. This is not solely based on the monetary benefits of Hive, am talking about the educational and social benefit of Hive.
I have been using the social media for the past 10 years and I can say that my engagement on social media has been 0.9%. That means that my interaction on social media is close to zero. I’m talking about the combination of my engagements on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. I have been on Twitter for 5 years and I have not tweeted nor had any meaningful conversation on Twitter.
Why Is That?
Honestly speaking I have no idea, I felt like social media wasn’t for me or my thing. I felt I didn’t have anything meaningful to contribute on those Web 2.0 platforms. Most importantly I felt it was a waste of time engaging without getting any value(financially).
But all that changed when I joined Hive, my orientation has changed. I learnt some simple crypto terms on social media and I made a lot of mistakes investing based on information I got from social media. But reading about finances and crypto on Leofinance has been extremely helpful and meaningful to my financial life. With 
I’m not saying there are no good benefits from Web 2.0 social media, but remember this is my experience and what I have learnt using the Web 2.0 .
Something am most grateful for in Hive is my engagement and learning. I have made some few friends on Hive that are more than what I made on Web 2.0. I have only spent 6 months on Hive and the progress in terms of education and engagements has superseded what I have achieved on Web 2.0 in 10 years. This isn’t because Web 2.0 is entirely thrash, this particular progress is based on me. I felt much more at home and confident on Hive, compared to other platforms.
On Hive using 
There was a time I saw a comment made by a Twitter user begging celebrities for money, this was before I joined Hive. I went to their profile to examine the person’s profile. I saw pictures in this user’s media filled with beautiful fictional stories written by this person on notepad. This person is a very good creative writer, this is a skill he can utilize on Hive and get rewarded for doing, Instead of begging for money under celebrities post on Twitter. Unfortunately this person doesn’t know Hive and I didn’t know Hive at then.
Before I joined Hive/Leofinance, I knew I was good with talking about money and I loved talking about it. Right from when I was kid, I had always loved focusing my attention on conversation about money. So it was pretty easy to talk about crypto and finance on Leofinance. Other things I had done in the past, I never loved them, but creating and curating content on Hive has shown me what it feels like to be doing something you love. I get excited everyday when I wake up because I want to create content, I get excited when I discover new things and research on them. I get excited to teach Newbies about Hive and crypto generally.
These are opportunities I have that makes me consider myself very lucky that am on Hive, or rather have found Hive.
