You know people are always quick to talk about more money more problems right? What do you think? When you have more money, and you have a kind heart, you all of a sudden start feeling like mother Theresa, you want to help people and come through for them. Whenever anyone is complaining about money, you have this urge to help them, you find yourself thinking of other people’s problem. You start taking on other people’s problems. We all want to have money right? Because we think that money gives us freedom, yeah, money gives us freedom to an extent, at least it frees us from the stage we once were. For instance, if you earn $2,000 monthly and you have $2,000 problems, when you start earning $10,000 you will gain freedom from $2,000 problems.
If you have family members who earn lesser than you, and you care about them, you find yourself adding their problems to your problem. But there is something you should know or you must have known by now, just as your problem doesn’t finish, family’s problem doesn’t finish as well. You will keep solving non stop problems especially when you are the most successful one in the family. There are situations where you might not be the richest in the family but you constantly have family members asking you for money. We all know what happens when you loan family members money, most times you fight with them over the money when they don’t return the money and you end up having other family members getting involved to settle your money problem you have with your family member.
This is why it’s not advisable to do business with family members because no matter what, you will always try to forgive your family. So to prevent family members from constantly asking you for money, you can choose to come to an agreement with them. If a family member asks you for a $100,000 loan, you can negotiate with them, agree to gift them half of it, if you can afford it, or half of whatever they ask you. Then tell them that you can only gift them this on one condition, they don’t have to ask you for money again and no one needs to know about it.
