This Sunday morning I came on twitter and got a lot of notifications about sushi swap getting hacked, sushi swap is a DEX platform like uniswap, 1inch or pancake swap. Do you know that whenever you perform a task on a DEX wallet you approve the platform to have access to your funds, which inturns makes your asset vulnerable to being taken by the platform. But because we trust the platform, the blockchain and the smart contract, we assume that the blockchain can only take whatever we instruct it to take through the smart contract.

But this is very risky, because whenever the platform gets hacked, our accounts get vulnerable as well because we have given the smart contract authorisation to take assets from our wallets. The best thing to do is revoke all smart contracts from your wallet whenever you perform any transactions. This helps prevent your wallet from being vulnerable, should incase the DEX you are using or used gets compromised or hacked. Over $3 Million was lost due to the exploit and the developers of sushi swap advised all users to revoke all contracts.
To revoke contracts use the Revoke site to do that. Its very easy and safe, but do your own research about the site. Enter the site, click on Get Started and choose whatever chain you want to revoke. This way whatever dapp you must have granted access will be revoked. This will keep you a step safer, and prevent your account from being exploited.
