Have you ever grind for a whitellist role or an OG role before? This is definitely going to be one of the loudest crypto journey stories I will ever tell people, because these crypto devs tend to use the opportunity to entrap highly enthusiastic crypto investors like me. What are whitelist roles? Whitelist roles are special roles giving to people who perform a given task and an early access is the reward. Early access also means you get to mint the NFT for free or for a very small amount, this way a lot of people get to try their best to get on the whitelist list.

Humans value scarcity a lot, the moment its limited by number or time or rather, by number and time, watch the value skyrocket, this is one of the reasons the value of bitcoin keeps increasing, the supply is low and limited and the rate of getting it reduces every 4 years. You get the point now, so whitelist is like than but not entirely like that, some people who get selected will be allowed to gain access or int the token, usually for a small amount, then they can sell it for a huge amount. We have a lot of NFT projects who have no valuable utility whatsoever, but will organise a whitelist system just so they can create the hype. Whitelist used to be something valuable, when you get it, you feel so glad, happy and special. Its like winning a lottery, kinda.
To get the whitelist role you have to perform some task like follow all their social media platforms and join that group chats like discord and telegram and sometimes invite people to join too. Imagine grinding that hard to get the whitelist role, only to get it and the project ends up becoming a worthless project. Mind you some people have been lucky to have gotten whitelisted on a great crypto project or NFT project, I saw an NFT collection where whitelisting price was worth $80 worth of ETH, few days later the floor price of the NFT became 7 ETH. That is a lot of profit right there, you see, its a crypto jungle right here, every one is just trying to make it, the grind keeps going on and on everyday. So these days, I dont get too excited when ever I get whitelisted anymore, because these bad projects are taking the fun out of the whitelist role.
