DEC is not part of the reward pool anymore but it's a valuable coin in the ecosystem. It's because we can use the token to buy assets in the game. The use case is very important for any token in the project and with DEC the use case has not been reduced.
I hold almost 300k Dec tokens in my account. Last month I used 100 key tokens to buy a tower defense pack. I have rented out my account cards and this is helping me earn Dec tokens every day. This is a good way for anyone who is not able to play the game can earn a good earning through the rental. There are multiple options available to use the rental service and it is also available on the Splinterlands website. I use splex service for rental and it's very easy to use.
DEC Holding
While I have almost 300k in my account but my goal is to have 500 tokens and I will continue to hold these for the long term. These days when the price for DEC is low so it's good to accumulate more. Also, I don't think that it is a good time to buy cards through the game as we have to pay more tokens. I expect that it will reach back to its pegged value and that will be a good time to buy cards through the dec.
As of now if you buy packs through DEC then it's good but certainly not cards. I have already purchased some packs and I do not think that buying packs of cards in the game is a good idea. It is because we never know what cards we are going to get after opening the packs. If we buy cards from the market then we have the option to choose and plan things accordingly.
Packs are good when we want some random cards to have in our account and you never know if you are lucky enough to get some legendary or gold foil through the packs. It's been more than 2 months since me for availing rental services and I find it very easy whereas can generate a good passive income through my card collection. The battle is very competitive these days and it takes a lot of time to increase the league and rating. I see a lot of people struggling with the same and since I am not a very good player in the game as compared to some players so I should stay on rental for some time.
Once I will be able to upgrade my card collection then I will think of playing the battles and in the meantime, I will continue to avail rental for my entire card collection. I am also happy that I am getting to cons every day which is helping me increase my overall Dec stake. Maybe later I can think of joining the pool to earn some decent rewards however I have not decided about it yet.
This is the last month of the year and it is time for us to focus on various goals on the chain. I am utilizing this time to go through the game and much other stuff encrypt so that for the next year I can have a plan in place. I will keep on sharing my journey on the rental and how much DEC I will be able to accumulate by the end of this. Playing game is always fun and a problem but it depends upon the schedule and if in case we have more expertise in the battle to make it even better in terms of daily or seasonal rewards.
