The Splinterlands universe is in a buzz discusing the release of the new edition that will be known as Chaos. Everyone is excited to see these new cards and their stats. I'm no exception to this and the anticipation of waiting on Chaos to be introduced has given me an itchy booster opening finger. To make that itch go away I decided its time to open an UNTAMED Booster pack. Before we do lets take a look at some UNTAMED Stats.
The above graphs have been taken from the awesome site known as PeakMonsters. If you are new to playing Splinterlands the PeakMonster site might of slipped right past you. A link to PeakMonsters is hidden right in plan sight on the Splinterlands Marketplace page (Big Red Icon Called PeakMonsters). As shown above an UNTAMED booster opened without potions (don't do that) has an expected value of $15.32 USD.
When opened with potions an UNTAMED booster has an expected value of $27.24 USD (Always open boosters with potions when possible). Its improtant to note that these values are not gauranteed. Its possible to get cards worth much less then the expected value displayed here. The more Boosters you open the bigger the chance your openings equal to the expected value. Now lets take a look at the cost of an UNTAMED boosters when purhcased from secondary markets such as Hive-Engine.
If one was to purchase an UNTAMED booster from HIVE-Engine it would cost them $26.31 USD. Luckily for me I have some stored away for days in which I have an itchy booster opening finger. With a sales volume of $5,650 USD there's a good chance that these $26 USD boosters will become $30+ USD Boosters very soon.

It looks like my booster opening skills haven't changed much. I was lucky enough to flip two rares which isn't all that bad considering a booster pack is only guaranteed to contain one rare and 4 commons. The most valuable card in my opening was the Rare Death card known as DEATH ELEMENTAL.
