Its not the game play itself everyone keeps coming back for. Its the community, its the dedication seen by onlookers that is displayed by the DEVS. Its the many different aspects in which we can play and earn. One does not need to play the game to earn rewards with it. There is the trading aspect, the renting aspect, the multiple ways to earn by bloggin on the games frontend Splintertalk or participating in weekly post challenges. The game play itself is just one aspect and might not even be the biggest part.
