I just Powered Up another 170 Hive for February HPUD 2023.
I was only planning on a smaller, token Power Up of 50 Hive seeing as that it makes more sense to Power Up regularly rather than save a stack, but I had some buy orders go through on the internal market with the recent crazy HBD pump which was nice, I mean that was the reason I sold some Hive for HBD this month, to buy it back cheaper at some point, and that worked out so NICE!
And hence a slightly larger Power Up than anticipated.
January on Hive...
I've been mainly posting about getting back into to work, back into self discipline and looking to the future over the last month on Hive and the main intellectual thing I've been up to is slowly reading and thinking about Antonopoulos' excellent book The Internet of Money which is doing a lot to secure my convictions in crypto and the Hive project especially.
The thing with crypto you see is that the money aspect is a bit of a distraction, and so on that note on with the financials.
I received about $535 worth of Hive rewards in January 2023 and pretty much all of that found its way into Hive Power with an additional 2000 Hive Powered Up over the last month....
The road to 100K HP by the end of 2023
My obvious goal for 2023 is to reach the big 100K, as with most people I'm a sucker for traditional base 10 goals.
Given my starting point in January of around 82.5K HP I only have to add 1500 HP a month to realise this goal, and something like 2.5K of that is just added completely passively thanks to the 3% inflation to HP holders.
And I'm comfortably ahead of my goal at this stage, even with the healthy Hive price of late.
So probably the only thing that's going to stop me reaching that goal is if Hive increases to over $0.50 for a sustained period of several months, as then I'd be earning relatively less Hive and I'd be reluctant to buy with the HBD I earn at over $0.40, I'd just keep the HBDs at that point and look to buy in cheaper.
Whatever it's a win-win- either I make 100K Hive by the end of the year or I end up on 90K odd Hive a nice wad of HBDs rewarding me with 20% interest!
