So I've been playing around with the new land release on the Mav's server the last week or so and this LAND stuff, man it's pretty complex to set up.
But at the end of the day, once you've got yer head around the surveying, DEC staking, adding power cores, staking yer monsters, adding your boosts, building your grain farm, shard mine or research centre, ideally with time crystals, and then confirming (i may have missed something there too!) what you're left with is...
A plot which churns out resources which need to be claimed at least about once a week (otherwise the stores get full and yer wasting production).
So if we're crude and we compared it to staking SPS.
Staking SPS (let's call SPS 'a' = stake a and then yield a.
LAND is more like do b,c,d,e then stake f-m then choose either r,s,t and then yield.
Albeit LAND is prettier and more gamified.
The maths point to shard mines, and maybe some research...
I'm with with his analysis of Grain: the price is only going one way: down. So there's no point farming more grain than you need to feed your workers, and maybe a small surplus, as well, it's good to have a buffer for contingencies!
It costs grain to feed workers to produce either grain, or SPS or research points (or whatever they're called).
But the thing is... Grain just pays for workers, its only function is to feed to produce something else.
And it just goes on churning, the more workers producing, the more grain is produced.
With SPS, it's pooled, so you get a share of a fixed pool... so at least initially I'm thinking shard mines are where it's at, and those yields will go down eventually.
Then I'm thinking research tokens, these are a bit of a wild card, a punt on them being valuable, and certainly worth a go, given that probably everyone will be mining mainly SPS.
I think I may be quite lucky having a castle, I'm feeling that a huge chunk of my grain requirements are going to be met just by staking five maxed GFLs with the appropriate 10% bonuses to my Castle.
So I'm feeling 80% Shard mines, 20% research swapped out for Grain if I need more.
I've also got 1.5M grain waiting to be used, so I'll probably burn through that and then in a few days, weeks, months, however long it takes bring a few more plots on line farming grain if I need anymore.
I think I'm set!
