Hi everyone on InLeo. Today I want to share a simple education about how different Forex and Crypto are, especially if we look at them using Smart Money Concepts (SMC). I've been watching these two for a while, and they definitely have their own vibes.
EUR/USD The King of Precision
In Forex, especially EUR/USD, the price usually follows the rules. It’s more methodical. Check out my chart here:
Liquidity Sweep: Look at that green arrow in November. Smart money likes to clear out the retail stop losses (the sweep) before they actually move the price up.
Demand Mitigation: That green box is my Demand Order Block. See how in April the price came back just to touch that area? We call this mitigation. It picked up the orders and then bounced perfectly.
FVG as a Magnet: The gray box is a Fair Value Gap. In Forex, the market loves to fill these gaps before moving on.
My tip If you like trading that is neat and follows technical levels closely, Forex is your friend. You just need to be patient for the price to hit your zone.
Bitcoin Riding the Momentum
Now, Bitcoin is a different story. It’s a beast that runs on momentum. Look at my updated chart:
S/R Flip: This is a big lesson. Look at that long green box. It was originally a Supply zone (where people sell). But once Bitcoin broke through, it flipped into Support (a new floor).
Blasting Through FVG: Unlike Forex, Bitcoin doesn't always care about filling every gap. It just sliced right through that gray FVG because the momentum was so strong.
Don't FOMO: Even when it looks like it’s flying, it’s better to wait for a retest of that new Support zone. Chasing the price usually ends badly.
My tip Crypto is all about momentum. Once a major zone flips, just follow the trend.
Final Thoughts
So, which one do I prefer?
Forex is great for those high precision, clean setups. Crypto is where you go for those massive, explosive moves. Both are good as long as you can read the institutional footprints on the chart.
