I am slowly coming back to life from my five month long hiatus on Hive network. I never intended to go on hiatus. I thought I was productive and motivated until one day I was not. I did not gather courage to motivate myself to post, publish, comment and interact. Not sure what happened but I did not even think about the hiatus. I enjoyed my life and got away with other lifestyle decisions.
What happened? I Burned Out
What did I do?
The last post I made was in May 2022. Many things happened in the crypto projects I was involved with during the time I was away. The biggest of the events was the capitulation of the Terra ecosystem. It was heartbreaking to see my hard earned money go down the drain like that.
Many experts question the sustainability of the 20% APR. I was not the only one who was scammed. I will write a separate post on how it unfolded and how I scrambled.
It is funny when you think you are the center of the universe and everything revolves around you. I thought Hive is not the same without me. But, life has been going away at its own pace on Hive. Members are going on with their life. Runners are posting their runs and engagement is gaining momentum. I missed my interaction.
Plan ahead
Well, the plan ahead is to remain positive and focus on interaction. It is easier said than done once you start thinking about rewards, upvotes and gains. I am more than two years old on Hive and I should understand the basic mechanics. If it was only for money, I would be out of the ecosystem by now. I managed to lose more than I earn.

I am also looking forward to operating in my first real bear market. I have heard about it but never experienced it myself. I once asked a fellow leofinance member if this was the top of the bull market. He said there should be a lot more euphoria in the market to ensure the market is really at a bull top. The market never reached that high again. It means we don’t know everything. And, that’s the truth.
Leo Power Up Day
This happened to be a LPU day. Many members talked about the idea before but it was not implemented properly. Looks like the idea caught momentum when I was away. So, I managed to take part in the event by powering up the leo curation reward. Looking forward to many more LPU days ahead.
