Money transfer company MoneyGram announced that it has partnered with crypto company Coinme. With this partnership, it will start trading Bitcoin (BTC) in exchange for cash at 12,000 points in the USA.
In addition, the crypto company Coinme is currently serving at approximately 6,000 kiosks. With the agreement with MoneyGram, it will increase this network to 18,000 points. Coinme said in a statement that they will continue to increase this network in the future. In return for this service, MoneyGram and Coinme have been determined in the fee they will receive from the transactions made. The fee is set at 4% + $ 2.75.
With this agreement, MoneyGram will make Bitcoin purchases and sales easier for thousands of people in the US. In this way, thousands of people will be able to invest more easily or convert their earnings into cash more easily. In addition, MoneyGram will increase the number of customers with this service.
MoneyGram partnered with Ripple (XRP) in June 2019. But he later suspended the partnership after a lawsuit against Ripple was later filed. And in March, the two companies announced that they had terminated the partnership. In the statement made at that time, the two companies stated that they would review their relations again in the future. It seems that MoneyGram's interest in cryptocurrency did not end after it ended its relationship with XRP.
