Guy tried to swap 50M USDT for native AAVE token through the Aave interface. Result:he got only 327 tokens on balance.
The funny part:this wasn't a hack or smart contract bug. The tx went through CoW Swap exactly as intended. The interface showed insane 99% price impact and threw a big red warning before confirmation.He still hit "Buy".
Block builder Titan instantly ate $34M pure profit in ETH and dumped it all to Coinbase. Another $600k went to Aave protocol as fees.
Aave founder Stani Kulechov already felt sorry for the guy:promised to return at least the $600k fees and add extra "don't be dumb" protection to the UI.
