GM Trendy Hiverzzz, welcome to Hindustan Trendz. If you don't track your expenses, you're making a big mistake. This isn't a strict obligation, but it can help you direct your money in the right direction.
There are many unnecessary expenses that we incur, but if they're used appropriately, many things can become easier.
You have to begin by listing your income and then you can do it same with expenses, starting with your fixed costs, such as monthly EMIs of your loans, house rent, and electricity, internet, or gas bills. Then, add your daily expenses, such as milk, vegetables, and other items used in everyday life.
You need to set goals/targets so you know what you're budgeting for. You can have many goals at a time, but do them one by one, such as paying off debt, and it can be loan debt too, saving for a vacation or a small trip that you planned for a long time, building an emergency fund that can be used in case of an emergency, and investing for passive income.
These goals will also keep you motivated, which is crucial and sometimes life-saving. My hive friends, an emergency fund is extremely important because it is seen that emergencies don't come with warning.
It's better to build an emergency fund than to save for a vacation or trip. It doesn't matter how much you build, because even $400 to $500 is a good amount that will provide you with protection. Instead of relying on things like credit cards and loans, make it a habit to rely on an emergency fund.
A budget is something we can't set and forget, as it needs to be done every month. After budgeting, you need to see which things are working for you and which aren't, and make improvements accordingly. Try it once, and it will solve many of your problems.
Small things have a big impact in the long term, and that is my personal experience. We often avoid small things, right? We do it thinking they're trivial, but those very things that we things unnecessary can help you in the long run.
The golden rule is you need to be consistent; if you're consistent with small things and never avoid small things, your persistence will pay off.
What do you think about these things and the information? I need to know. If you're not doing these things yet, you need to start now. Salam namaste, take care.
