This week, I've started to work on a new project I have had in mind for a couple of years. and yes, it is related to beer and of course, blockchain technology.
I've had this idea in mind for quite a while, but never spent the time to have a deeper look at it, share it with some mates who are interested in joining, and start building a business model together. Although I have a clear picture of the model in my head, I offered the team to work together to define the business model and we are starting next week.
I searched for old resources I had to brainstorm together and found the Business Model Generation book created by Alex Ostervalder
For those not familiar with it, here's a 2-minute video explaining how to create a Business Model using 9 building blocks defined in their Canvas.
The book is a great tool and you can find translations into several languages on Alex consulting company webpage, but if you want to get a deeper understanding of how to implement the model with free resources you can follow free course How to Build a Startup course from Harvard professor Steve Blank at Udacity.
It is an invaluable resource teaching you the main difference between a company and a startup and how to evolve from one to the other. You can watch one of the short introductory videos of the course, explaining the differences between a startup and a company.
Hope these resources are valuable for you if you are in the same process as I am. I'll keep you all posted as I move forward
