Introduction
It was a crazy month long competition for the Leofinance Zealy Campaign. I will be sharing my overall thoughts on it and also share my LPUD for this month in this post.
General Opinion
I enjoyed this Leofinance campaign. As someone that had no exposure to Leofinance before, I think they did a successful job at getting me on their platform and participating in this campaign and even staying after the campaign on the platform. If I'm not wrong, the main purpose of the campaign was to give exposure and bring on new users to Leofinance.
I was able to learn new things from some of the threads people posted. I didn't even expect that I would be able to write about finance related topics but I did. I even did my first 3speak video thanks to Leofinance. I also did my first artwork and posted it using Leofinance. Aside form that, I was able to learn by seeing other peoples threads and the information they shared sometimes would be something I never knew. It was also nice to see people provide updates to what's happening around the world in short summaries through one thread or a threadstorm. I was also able to listen to new music that was shared by others which some I liked and have added to my playlsit. There was definitely a lot of engagement during this campaign and I did make new friends which will help grow my engagement in the long run.
What Would I Change & What Would I keep The Same?
There are some things that I would have changed with this campaign. First of all, I think it needs to be a longer duration. One month wasn't enough for people to stick in and feel completely invested into the community. I think there were a fair amount of people that there just for the rewards from the campaign and we can see that with the significant decrease in engagement after the campaign was over.
Secondly, I didn't like how there were last minute altercations to some of the rules. Like for the battle of the 3 lion armies there was a rule that said if a team member didn't have at least 0.35% of the teams threads they wouldn't be qualified for the team rewards. At the results for this event they changed this to 0.5% if I'm not wrong. Then there was also about giving prizes to the top 50 but in the end it ended up as the top 40. I hope next time there won't be so many last minute changes to the competitions.
I think what I would like to keep the same is the battle of the three armies. That was probably the most fun part of the campaign. Personally, I enjoyed that team event with teamwork being needed and team spirit. It was fun I talked a lot of shit in threads and you know what my team #blacklions won!
I also liked the diversity of the quests but I wish they didn't make requirements to get access to the next quests. I think it would be ok if the boss quest was last and locked but some didn't make sense to me. For example in the picture below, you can see FinTech, Politics, Hive, Leoverse & blockchain topic are locked until completing finance, economics and crypto vlog. I don't see why those other topics need to have prerequisites but that's just me.
My Results & LPUD
The results were released yesterday! I'm happy to have placed 40th which earned me 452 LEO. I was thinking about using this LEO for this month's power up but I didn't receive it in time so I will most likely just save it for the next Zealy campaign to power up in case they have a power up quest again. In addition to that, I was able to win the Battle Of The Armies NFT, Lion Zealer NFT, OG NFT, & Hustler NFT. I will also get a 500 LEO delegation which is awesome. Hopefully it's enough to have 1 cent worth of vote value for LEO. Congrats to all that won and good try to all those that participated.
I powered up 150 LPUD for this month. I'm actually quite low on funds after spending a ton for Splinterlands DEC burning but hopefully I'll try to increase more of my stake on LEO as my budget allows me.

Concluding Thoughts
Overall, I think this was a great campaign. It wasn't perfect but it's a learning lesson for Leofinance team to build and improve upon it. I'm happy that I was able to place 40th and win some Leo and NFTS. I'm excited and looking forward the the future campaigns Leofinance has to offer and I will highly encourage those to not sleep on the Leofinance platform. They are building something great on Hive and it'll be great to join and be part of the process and not be the one that comes in when everything is booming.
